What a Happy Accident!

I was playing and practicing with my new Glimmer Hot foil system trying to line up my Fanfare Glimmer Plate  using Gold Foil and red cardstock.  I was trying to  line up the fanfare plate to create a background. Well needless to say, I made an error and didn't get the result I was going for.  So on to plan B.

I cut off the mistake and thought I hated to waist the good part of this card.   So on to create yet another birthday card.   So I used the Birthday Hugs and Wishes Glimmer plate and again used gold foil.  Then I decided to use my new Guilded Nested Rectangle Glimmer plate.  I chose the one that fit around the sentiment and again using gold foil, foiled it onto the red paper.

I then cut the red foiled, paper to 3.75 x 5" and wrapped  a gold ribbon from my stash around the center of the card between to two foiled areas.  This was then mounted onto a piece of brushed gold cardstock measuring 4 x 5.25.  I then placed them onto a shite card base and added a gold bow on the ribbon band.

Then as a final detail, I decided to add gold pearls to each of the fans in the fanfare foiled area.  I am so happy to have been able to save this piece.  I think this turned out to be quite the fancy birthday card.
