New Die of the Month Card for March 2024

Today I am sharing the last of the four cards that show examples of four of the club kits from Spellbinders. This  one is probably my favorite of the four.  There are many more monthly club kits available from Spellbinders, I  just happen to share four with you.  To view all of the clubs that Spellbinders has to offer, just click here.

To create this card, I started with a top folding A2 white card base to which I added a mat of light brown.  I then added a background of matching god striped, printed paper.  Then I cut a piece of white cardstock using the Candlewick Ovals.  The book and owl were die cut and assembled as shown.  I then glued the oval and book and popped up the own atop the book.  The sentiment was then glimmered using the glimmer set from this month with gold foil and cut out and popped up also.

I can't say how much I love how this card turned out.  The colors, layout, etc. all work well together.  I hope you will give this die set a try, you won't be disappointed!

Embossing Folder of the Month for March 24 Card Example

This is day 3 of my 4 card reveals using new monthly clubs from Spellbinders.  Today I am showing the Embossing Folder of the Month for March of 24 called Checkered Scallops.  This folder is awesome and would create a fun background for any card design.  Please stop back tomorrow when I will be sharing my last club of the month example.   There are many more clubs than I share with you.  To view them all, just click here

For this card, I started with an A2 white card base to which I added some light blue cardstock.  I then added a piece of blue plaid printed paper which I embossed with this month's embossing folder.  I added the sentiment, small flowers, and branch from both the KOM-FEB22 and the LDOM-MAY22.  The larger flowers were created using the Mini Blooms and Sprig dies.  I found some matching enamel drops in my stash to add to the flower centers and to the background of the card.

I love blue and yellow together and that made this card especially nice for me.   I hope you like it and will check out all the monthly options available from Spellbinders!

New Glimmer Plate of the Month for March 2024 Card Example

Today I will be sharing a card that I made using Spellbinder's Glimmer Plate of the Month for March 2024 called Sketched Lines. I think this plate will create a fun and different background for any card you make!  This is my second sharing and I will be sharing two more clubs in the next few days so be sure to check back.

I decided to try something different with this card, so I foiled it twice in two directions on a piece of white cardstock.

I started off with an A2 white card base and added a mat of dark blue glitter paper.  I then foiled the piece of white cardstock twice angling the plate in a different direction each time and used Rainbow Confetti Foil for this procedure.  I then cut the foiled piece and attached it to the blue glitter.

I then foiled the sentiment using Cobalt Blue foil and matted it with the same blue liter paper.  It was then attached to the front of the card.  I searched my stash and found three ribon flowers to arrange beside the sentiment.  I also found three clear glass flowers to attach to the front of the card.

I hope you like this card and will give it a try for yourself.  To view all of this month's club kits please click here.    They also offer reduced rates if you purchase more than one club!

New Stitched Die of the Month Club Example.

Well  here it is March already!.  I don't know about you, but I am tired of constantly being cold.  I am anxious for Spring to come to western PA!  But here today I am showing off a card I made using Spellbinders Stitched Die of the Month called Stitch Read and Sip.  It features two book bindings along with a cup that can be filled with  florals.  Here is my example.

This card was created by starting with a white top folding base card to which I added a small grey at and then a smaller piece of printed cardstock which had white writing on it.  I then added my two books,  one stitched and done in greens on the bottom and a red book with a red bookmark stacked on top.

The cup was done in two shades of blue using blue thread to decorate the cup.  I then added some colorful flowers which also came with the dies to the cup.  I left off a sentiment because  honestly, I didn't know where to put one.  You could add any sentiment you wanted and create a card for any occasion.

I hope you liked this card and give it a try.  To see all of the Clubs of the Month over at Spellbinders, please click here.  I will  be showing off some more of the clubs in the following days, so please check back!

You Brighten My Day Colorful Floral Spring Card

Today is my last reveal of the monthly clubs at Spellbinders.  This card was made with the DOM-Feb 24 called Rain Boot Bouquet.  I chose one boot, but you could also use two.  This is the card I created using this die:

I wanted a colorful, spring like look so I started with an A2 size card base and added a mat of blue cardstock.  To this I added another piece of blue plaid cardstock which matched the frame.  I then cut the boot and various flowers and greenery which was added to the boot and mounted onto a white oval cut with my Elegant ovals die.  I then took a sentiment from the GOM-FEB24 set and foiled it onto some white cardstock, cut it out, and popped it up with foam squares.  As a final embellishment, I added some white enamel dots and a small flower at the bottom of the boot.

I hope you enjoy this card!  This is probably one of my favorite sets from the 4 clubs that I featured!  This would also make a great Easter card.

Non Traditional Valentines Day Card

Today I am showing off a Valentines day card I made using the Stitching die of the Month for February 2023 called Stitched Floral Focal Card Front from Spellbinders.  I decided to make a non traditional card for possibly a friend, neighbor, or a non- lovey dovey card.

I decided to do this card in red and white for Valentines Day.  I started with a white A2 card base.  Then I cut the largest background section using red cardstock and stitched it using white thread and green threads for the leaves.  Next I popped up the second layer using foam squares and stitched it using red thread.  Finally the middle (last section) was also popped up using foam squares and white thread.  A red heart gem was added to the center.

I decided to leave off a sentiment so that this could be given to almost anyone.  I hope you enjoy this card and will give  it a try.  To find out about all of Spellbinders monthly clubs, simply click here.

Glimmer Hot Foil Plate of the Month Easter Card for February 2024

Today I am featuring an Easter card using this months Hot Foil Plate for this month called Daffodil Spray.  It is a beautiful image of three daffodils that can be either left plain or colored.  I decided to color my image using copic markers.  Here is my finished card:

To create this card I started with a green A2 card base to which  I added a piece of yellow and green plaid paper.  I then glimmered my image using the Daffodil Spray glimmer plate and sentiment and cut it down to fit as shown.  Both pieces were popped up using foam squares.    I colored my image using my copic markers and added some matching enamel dots to finish it off.

I think it makes for a very nice Easter card.  I hope you do too.  To view all the clubs available this month and how you can save money by combining clubs simply click here.

New Embossing Folder of the Month Club Thank You Card

Here it is a new month and this month I am sharing some of the monthly clubs from Spellbinders.  Today I am sharing the embossing folder of the month for February 2024 called Swirling Blooms.  To view all the clubs and options available, please click here.

For this card I started with a white A2 card base to which I added a piece of of lavender cardstock which was embossed with the folder of the month.  I then cut a piece of lavender plaid paper using the older fancy edge die set and cut a circle large enough  to encircle just the center of the embossed piece.  It was popped up using foam squares.  The sentiment was then stamped using a stamp set from my stash and some lavender ink.  It was then cut and popped up with foam squares.

I found a lavender gem to place in the middle of my embossed piece to add a little bling.

I hope you like this different thank you card.  It is a unique was to use an embossing folder to create a totally different look.

Eggs-Traordinary Easter Card

Today I am featuring a new Easter card from Simon Hurley's new collection called the Stamp and Die collection from Ranger and Spellbinders.  I chose the Easter Bunny Stamps and matching dies for this card.

To create this card, I started with an A2 White Card base to which I added this lovely background paper from my stash.  I then cut the paper to leave a small border around the outside of the mat.  I then used the Candlewick Rectangles and cut a green  piece of cardstock to blend nicely with the background.

I used the bunny and eggs from the stamp set and stamped them onto white cardstock.  They were then colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching die set.  The eggs were glued and the bunny was popped up.  The sentiment was also stamped from the stamp set and cut out as shown. It was then glued to the card front.

This set is very versatile!  You can use it for Easter, Birthdays, etc.   I hope you liked this card and will attempt to create one or more of your own!  Spellbinders paper arts and Ranger are delighted to bring you this collaboration!

Easy Just Because card

Today I am showing off the last card I made using the January 2024 clubs.  I am only showing 4 of the many clubs you can choose from.  Check out all the clubs and how they work by just clicking here.  Today's card features the Die of the Month for January 2024 which is called Sitting Pretty.

This card was so easy to make.  I started with a piece of plaid cardstock which I had in my stash.  The colors of the plaid decided my color theme of purples and pinks.   I attached a mat of purple cardstock and a smaller mat of the plaid cardstock to the front of an A2 base card. I then used the DOM to cut out the two flowers, birds, and greenery.  These were arranged and glued onto the front of the card as shown.

For the sentiment I decided to use an older sentiment from the Spellbinders Giving Occasions stamp set.  This was stamped in Dusty Concord Distressed Ink.  I then cut it out and popped it up using foam squares.

As a final embellishment, I added some purple enamel dots to the front of the card.

As you can see, this made a very pretty card and you can use it for any occasion, by simply changing the sentiment to fit your needs.  You can also change up the color scheme to suite your taste.

A Quick, Easy, Simple Card for any Occassion

Hi!  Today I am showing off the Embossing Folder of the Month for Jan 2024 from Spellbinders.  This is the third of 4 different clubs I will be showing you.  This card was so simple and quick to make.  It could easily be a masculine card or a card for any occasion!

To create this card, I started with some pretty plaid paper from my stash.  I chose the main color in the plaid and used it as my base and main color.  I started with an A2 size card base, to which I added a mat of both the solid color and plaid cardstock.  I then cut a piece of the solid color and inked the embossing folder with twisted citron, which matched my cardstock closely.  I then embossed it and added it to the front of my card using foam squares.

For the sentiment I hot foiled the word Hello from the Be Bold glimmer sentiments set using darker green foil. It was then cut out and popped up onto the front of the card using foam squares.  As a finishing touch, I added some green enamel dots from my stash.

As I said this was a very simple and quick card for anyone who needs a card in a hurry or just doesn't want to fuss.  It could be for any occasion, by simply changing out the sentiment and of course, you can do any color combination you would like.  I chose green because of the leaves in the embossing folder.  It would also be a great masculine card which we all seem to struggle with.

Floral Themed and Hot Foiled Thank You Card

Today as we step into the 3rd day of 2024, I have another card done using a monthly club from Spellbinders.  This time I used the the Glimmer of the Month for January 2024 called Card Front Floral.

This beautiful card was made starting with an A2 card base.  To that I added some mirror gold cardstock leaving a small white border around the card front.  Next I foiled the floral  plate using gold foil onto white paper.  It was then trimmed to a slightly smaller than the mirrored gold cardstock and colored using my copic markers.  It was then attached to the front of the card.

The sentiment was taken from Yana's Special Sentiments foil set and I also used the gold foil for this.  It was then die cut and popped up with foam squares.

I think this made for a gorgeous card.  You can easily change the sentiment and use the design for any number  of occasions.  Foiling is something I love to do and adds such an elegant touch to my cards!  To see all of this month's clubs please click here.

Happy New Year! Plus a new Card!

Happy New Year! and welcome 2024.  Spellbinders has released it's first clubs for this year and they are great!  Over the next couple days I will be sharing some of them with you!  Today I have for you the Stitched Die of the Month for January 2024.

To make this card, I started with an A2 card base.  I then cut a piece of blue cardstock and embossed it with the Diamond Plaid Embossing Folder.  It was then added to the front of the card leaving a small white border all around.

The bee was cut from black and yellow cardstock and stitched with the same colors of embroidery thread.  It was glued together then I added the wings with some vellum and stitched them with silver embroidery thread.   I the cut several of the flowers in red and the greenery in green cardstock and glued it to the bottom of the card front.  The bee was attached above the flowers using foam squares.

Finally I foiled one of the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments in gold foils, cut it out and popped it up above the greenery with foam squares.

I hope you liked this card and will give it a try for yourself.  To see all of this month's clubs simply click here.
