Another House Mouse New Release

Welcome Back!  Today I am sharing another House Mouse card I made using one of the new stamps just released from Spellbinders.  It is called Bringing Christmas to You!  from the House Mouse Holiday collection.  You can view the entire collection here.

This card was super fun to make!  I Love to color, so this stamp was perfect for me.  I colored the snow and mouse using copic markers and for the ornament, I used Sakura glitter pens.    I wanted my ornament to be really sparkly.  The clouds were stenciled using Distress Ink in tumbled glass.  Both the white cardstock piece and the blue piece were die cut using the Postage Edge Rectangle die set.  The were then glued to an A2 card base and the sentiment was stamped using black ink.

I hope this card inspires you to check out the collection and possible get some of your own stamps and make Christmas cards.  It is never to early to start making Christmas Cards!

New Release - House Mouse Holiday Collection

Hello and welcome!  Today I will be featuring a card from the new House Mouse Holiday  Collection over at Spellbinders.  If you love House Mouse you are going to love this collection.  To view this collection simply click here.  There were so many collections released this month, this is just one of many!

I love to color, so I had great fun creating this card!  First I started with an A2 card base.  I then put a piece of green Christmas  paper as a mat onto the card.  I cut two ovals using the Fluted Classic Ovals.  One from red cardstock the other from white.  On the white one I stamped the image from the Merry and Bright stamp set onto the card with black ink and colored with copic parkers.  They were then glued to the front of the card as shown.  The sentiment also came from this set and was stamped on white cardstock, cut out and popped up using foam squares.

I hope this card inspires you to create one of your own or at least check out the collections.  Be sure to stop by tomorrow as I will have another stamp from this collection to share with you!

New Release - Hemlock, Cones, and Chickadee

Hi!  Today I am showing off my third card for Spellbinders new August Release.  There are so many great new products being released this month!  This card features the Hemlock, Cones, and Chickadee die set from the Snow Garden Collection by Sharon Tierney-Cockburn.

I Love this card!  It turned out so well.  I started with an A2 card base to which I added some grey printed snowflake paper.  The paper has some shiny silver snowflakes on it.  I then cut out the Hemlock die from green and brown cardstock and glued them together to appear as branches.  I then cut out the chickadee from some white cardstock and colored him with my copic markers.   He was then nestled in the branches on the front of the card.  Finally I made and glued three pine cones to the front of the card using brown cardstock.  The pine cones give it a three dimensional feel and are raised off the card.  For the sentiment I used  the Snow Garden Sentiments and foiled it with silver foil.  It was then cut out and placed onto the front of the card.

I think this really turned out great and would make a super Christmas card!  I hope it gives you some ideas and inspiration to create some of your own.  To view the entire new release section from Spellbinders, simply click here.

Spellbinder Release Day 2 - More fun Cards and Products!

Today is day 2 of the Spellbinder release for August.  In celebration of that, I have created two cards using products from the Holiday Hugs Collection from Stampendous.  I love how these cards tuned out and hope you do to!

This first card started with an A2 card base.  I then added mats of brushed gold and a cute polka dot paper with gold dots.  I cut out the Santa Clause using traditional colors and then cut out Rudolph from some tan, brown, and green papers.  I colored his red nose using a copic marker. They were all glued onto the front of  the card.  The sentiment I chose was also a new release item, It was the comfort and Joy Glimmer Plate which was foiled using gold foil and attached to the front of the card using foam squares.

The next card is equally as cute and features the Snowman Hugs from the same Stampendous Collection.

I kinda knew right away that I wanted him to peak out of an oval.  So I started with an A2 card base.  I chose some cute snowflake paper from my stash and chose one of the colors (teal) as a background mat.  I then cut the oval using the Essential Stylish Ovals.  I assembled the snowman using colored taken from the snowflake paper and glued him so that he was reaching out of the oval.  I cu out the candycane and colored it with copic markers.  I again used a sentiment from this release and popped it up the same as I did for the first card.

I hope that you like both cards and would love to hear which one is your favorite!  Let me know in the comments below.  I hope they inspire you and that you will take a look at this huge release!  There are so many new products to choose from.  To check out all the newly released products, simply click here.

Release Day at Spellbinders - Lots of new products!

Today is the 10th of the month and that means that Spellbinders is releasing it's new products.  There are so many this month you have got to check it out!  There is something for everyone!  You can see them all here.

For the next three days, I will be showing off some of the items from several collections.  Today I am featuring the Glimmer for the Holidays collection.  I received the Swirling Foliage Tree and the Comfort and Joy Sentiments and created this fun, pretty Christmas card.

This card was so fun to make and I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I received the glimmer plate.  I started with a 5x7 card base.  To this I added a piece of green cardstock that I glimmered with gold foil.  This was then attached to the card base.  Next, I cut a piece of white and mirrored gold cardstock using the Essential Stylish Ovals dies.  I cut the white one slightly larger so that my tree would have a gold frame around it.  I then took the piece of white cardstock and embossed it using the Holly Flourish embossing folder.  The gold and white pieces were glued together and popped up on the green front piece using foam squares.  The sentiment was foiled onto white cardstock using gold foil and cut with the coordinating dies.  This was also popped up across the front of the tree.  As a final touch, I added a red and green plaid bow to the bottom center of the oval.

I hope this card will inspire you to check out the Glimmer for the Holidays collection for yourself along with all the other wonderful collections being released today!  Be sure and check back for the next two days as I will be featuring two more collections from this release.
