Christmas Wishes & Reindeer Kisses - Kat Scrapiness

Today I am sharing this cute Christmas card I created using some of Kat Scrappiness's new products.  I used the Reindeer Games Stamp Set which helped to create these adorable reindeer across the front of the card.   The Reindeer Games Sentiment Stamp Set was used for the sentiment.  The deer were colored with my copic markers and cut with my Brother Scan n Cut, but do not worry, this set also comes with matching dies.

I love how this card turned out and how easy it was to create!  The snow was cut from white glitter paper to give it a little shimmer.  The sky was ink blended and the sentiment was stamped directly onto the card using black ink.  Finally, each reindeer was added using foam squares across the front of the card.  Be sure to stop by Kat Scrappiness and check out their sale!  All Christmas items are 10% off with code!  (Sale runs until Dec 24th)

Spellbinders Newest Release - Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feekan

I am thrilled to be sharing this special new collection from Spellbinders with you!  If you love quilting or the look of quilted cards you are going to love this collection.  I have four different projects using four different products from this collection.  I hope they inspire you to check it out and make some of your very own.  As usual, all the products used are listed at the end of this post.

The card shown above is an A2 card using Blue Metallic cardstock for the background and pastel colors with a portion of the the Quilted Stained Glass Window die set and the Quilty Hug Sentiment stamps.  I added the flowers using the Petite Floral Potpourri Die set.   As I final embellishment I added some pearls to the background and the center of the flowers which were done in the same pastel colors as the design.

This second card is a larger 5.5 inch square card again using the Quilted Stained Glass Window die set.  The sentiment was embossed with gold embossing powder onto white cardstock using the Quilty Hugs sentiment stamp set  I used some mirror gold, and metallic blue papers for the glimmer and some soft green printed cardstock with gold dots and soft green plain cardstock.  I then added a soft ribbon and gems from my stash.

This third card is to feature the new Orange Peel Quilted 3D embossing folder which created this beautiful background.  Again I used a portion of the Quilted Stained Glass Window Die and the Birthday Unboxing Sentiment which was stamped onto the arched die from this set.  I then added matching flowers from the Petite Floral Potpourri die set and a soft green ribbon from my stash.

This final card is one of my favorites.  It is a 5 inch square card using the same pastel cardstocks as I used in some of the other cards, but this time I used the Patchwork Petals Die set from this new collection.  To  it I added some small flowers which were cut also using the Petite Floral Potpourri die set from white cardstock and inked with a lavender colored ink which closely matched the paper used in the quilt.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Quilty Hugs Sentiment Stamps also onto white paper and glued it across the bottom of the card.  I used a white pearl in the center of the card and smaller pears in the centers of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and that they will inspire you to create some of your own.  As you can see, they are very versatile, especially the Quilted Stain Glass Window Set as you can use as many of the segments as you wish. I also love all the delicate stiches which really gives it a quilted look.

Spellbinders Die of the Month for December 2022

As promised, today I am featuring another of Spellbinders fabulous club kits for December 2022.  It is the Die of the Month entitled Stitched Heart Card Front.  This makes a perfect set for any of your Valentine Cards!  As usual, I will have a list of items used at the end of this post.

Of course this one too was done in my favorite color, pink.  I started with a white A2 base card.  I then added a mat of medium colored pink cardstock.  I then cut the background die using dark pink and the next die using white.  The heart die was also cut from white and embroidered with pink thread and I added pink pearls to the center of each section and a pink bow beneath the heart.

Each cross section on the background piece was embroidered with the same colored thread and a white pearl was then attached to each center.

The sentiment was cut from white cardstock and backed with the dark pink cardstock so that the lettering appeared to be dark pink.  It was then popped up as was the heart with foam squares and attached to the front of the card as shown.

I hope this card will inspire you to check out the club and to see all the clubs currently available at Spellbinders.  You can do so by clicking here.   Be sure to stop by tomorrow as I will be showing off the card kit of the month!  You won't want to miss that!

Spellbinders Clear Stamp and Die of the Month for December 2022

Today I am showing off two creations using the Clear Stamp and Die set of the Month from Spellbinders called "My Favorite Person".  I decided to try a regular card and a shaker card both using this set.  They were so fun to make and create awesome Valentine's Day cards!  Here are both cards and as usual, I will have a list of supplies below.

Again, of course, done in pink, my favorite color.  For the first card I decided to start with an A2 base card in white.  To it I added a mat of dark pink. Over top of the pink, I cut and embossed a piece of vellum.  It really embossed well and made the paper look like pink with white dots.  If you haven't tried embossing vellum, you simply must!  It creates the most beautiful designs.  This was attached to the solid piece of pink cardstock.  I added some different ribbons and pink sparkle washi tape across the center of the card and added a pink bow using a glue dot.

The heart and letters were both stamped using momento tuxedo black ink and colored using my copic markers.  I then cut them out using the matching dies and glued the letters to the bottom front of the card and added the heart above the ribbons using foam squares.

The second card was created in much the same way, except for the fact it is a shaker card.  I started again with a white A2 card base.  I then used the die to cut out the heart shape and the letters using red cardstock.  I popped up the front piece (which was printed pink paper using foam squares and added some acetate to make it a shaker card.  I had lots of heart shaped shaker bits in my stash which I added to the shaker heart.  I added a small red bow underneath the shaker and glued the letters across the bottom the same as I did for the first card.

I hope you like these cards and that they inspired you to consider joining the clear stamp and die club of the month.  Be sure to check back tomorrow as I will be featuring another monthly club kit from Spellbinders that I am sure you are not going to want to miss!  To check out all the monthly clubs available please click here.

Spellbinders APG of the Month for December 2022

It is with great pleasure that I get the honor of sharing this beautiful die set with you!  It is the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for December of 2022 called the Sweetheart Envelope and Note Set which  is just gorgeous.  It is also very versatile as I have shown you below.  Now that Christmas is almost here, it is time to start thinking Valentine's Day! I have created two beautiful pieces one a 5x7 card and the other a gift card holder that anyone would be proud to give or receive on Valentine's Day or any other occasion for that matter!  You can check out all of Spellbinders Clubs here.

For my first project, I selected a 5 x 7 white card base.  To that I added a mat of dark pink cardstock and them some pink and gold plaid printed paper as my background.  The APG was then die cut and assembled using both pink and then white cardstock.  The flowers were added using the Be Bold Blooms die set.  They were then arranged and glued to the envelope as shown.  I added a simple sentiment from the CSOM-Dec22 (Clear Stamp of the Month for Dec 2022)) But, you could add any sentiment  you wanted.  I then added a simple multi-loop bow to the other side of the envelope.  It was attached onto the background of the card on a slight angle.  The sentiment was mounted on the same color pink as the card mat.  The flowers were cut from various colors of cardstock from my stash.

Here is another photo of the finished card:

For my second project, I decided to create a gift card holder.  I cut the holder using the dies from this set and some red, white, and green cardstock.   I assembled as shown and added a red flower to the bottom of the heart flap on the front of the card.  I used a white pearl as the center of the flower.  The sentiment "for you" was cut from the Die of the Month from Sept of 2021 called Mix and Match Sentiments, but you can add anything you wanted or even just leave it plain.  I then attached a small velcro snap to the underside of the flower and again on the envelope itself which allows it to stay closed.  It is the perfect size to hold a gift card.  You could make this in any color combination you would like.  I thought this one would be perfect for a special Valentine's Day gift card.  (Maybe for a romantic dinner).  Anyway, here is the finished card holder:

I know Babies R Us is no longer in business, but that is the only card I had to display.  It just shows that a gift card would fit perfectly in the finished piece.

I hope you liked them and that they will inspire you to create your own special items using this beautiful die set.  To check out all of Spellbinders wonderful clubs, don't forget to click here.  And, stop back tomorrow when I will be showing off another club kit from this month's fabulous collection.

Scenic Christmas Card - Kat Scrappiness Products

Well I hope you were able to get all that you desired on your Black Friday shopping sprees!  I did not venture out, instead I stayed home and crafted. One of my most favorite things to do.  So today I am showing off one of the cards I made using products from Kat Scrappiness.

I created this adorable Christmas scene card  using Santa's Helpers Stamp set, Reindeer Games Stamp set, Reindeer Games Sentiment Stamps and the Crafters Essential Winter Dies.  I colored all the images with my copic markers and cut out some of the  pieces with my Scan N Cut.  But, don't worry if you do not have one, because these stamp sets come with coordinating die sets!

I hope this card will inspire you to stop by the website and check out all the goodies they have available.  You won't be disappointed!  And be sure to take advantage of their Black Friday Sale going on now thru  Monday!

Kat Scrappiness Winter Release - Merry Christmas Card

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is now ready to do some creating!  Today I have a cute Christmas card to show you using some new Kat Scrappiness items.

I created this cute A2 sized card using the following sets from Kat Scrappiness.  I die cut the Snowflake Background Die then added one of the Nesting Deco Frames Dies.  I stamped and colored the elves from the Santa's Helpers Stamp set and the holly from the Reindeer Games Stamp set. .  They were both colored by me using my copic markers and then cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut machine.  However if you don't own a scan n cut, they do have matching dies available for both stamp sets.   I love how it turned out, the really bright colors and the snowflake frame frames it nicely.  Here is another photo of the finished card:

I hope you get a chance to craft this busy shopping weekend.  You may definitely want to take advantage of the Black Friday sale over at Kat Scrappiness!  There are lots of goodies to be had and great gifts for fellow crafte3rs!

Kat Scrappiness Winter Release Shaker Card

Today I am sharing with you two more fabulous die sets from the new Kat Scrappiness Release.  I decided to create a 5 x7 card this time and make it a shaker.

For the shaker portion of the card, I used the Night Before Christmas Window Die set and for the sentiment I used the new Noel Word with Shadow die.  I also had enough printed paper left to add it to the flap of the envelope.  I love the idea of doing so as it makes the card and envelope match.

I hope you like this card and will check out all the wonderful products over at Kat Scrappiness!

Postage Edge Circles - Birthday Card

This is the last of the projects I have for the New Postage Edge Shapes collection from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken.  This particular project features the circle shapes.  I have created this fun and pretty pink birthday card using these dies.

As usual, I started with a white A2 base card to which I added a pink mat and a pink and red striped background paper.  A thin strip of brushed gold cardstock was added across the bottom.  Next I cut three  postage edge circles from pink cardstock.  They were arranged onto the front of the card with the center one being popped up with foam squares.  I then cut smaller circles from the same die set using two different printed cardstocks and one in white.  I used the white one to add the sentiment in black ink.  They were then attached to the pink circles.

I then created a red flower for the bottom left side of the card in red cardstock to pick up the red in the striped background paper.  It was then assembled and attached over green leaves.  As a final embellishments, I added some red gems to the background.

I hope this card will inspire you to try one of your own.  It can be created in any color scheme you like.  It would also make a really nice masculine card by leaving the flower off or adding something more manly in the corner.

Postage Edge Shaped Rectangles Christmas Card - You are gonna Love it!

Today I am showing off another one  of Becca Feeken's new collection, Postage Edge Rectangles.  I decided to create this fun and cute layered Christmas Card I think you are going to love!

To create this card, I started with a white A2 card base.  To that I added a mat of dark green cardstock.  Then a postage edged rectangle in red cardstock.  I found some really pretty vellum from my stash that had shiny red stars on it.  I cut it using one of the Essential Rectangle dies.  The next layer was cut using a smaller postage edged rectangle and mirrored red cardstock which was popped up using foam squares.  I then added the white center section using a smaller essential rectangle and glued it to the red mirrored piece.

For the sentiment, I used the Big Holiday Words stamp set for the "J" and "Y".  They were colored using red and green inks  and outlined with black fine line marker.  I then fussy cut them and added to the front of the card in the white rectangle.  For the "O"  I used the Santa's head from the Dancing St. Nick die set.  He was then assembled and popped up using a wobble so that the head wiggles when the card is moved.  I added a small red ribbon under his beard and some red and green gems to the corners as shown.

I really love how this card turned out. I love the different layers and how nice the postage edge rectangles look!  I hope you will give them a try.  Please check back tomorrow when I will have another fun project from this collection.

Postage Edge Shapes Collection by Becca Feeken

Today I am thrilled to be sharing a new collection  by Spellbinders and Becca Feeken  called the Postage Edge Shapes Collection.  The first shape I am sharing is the oval.  I created two projects for this set, a card and a gift tag.  On the card, I also used the rectangle postage edge  die.  I decided to use a rather unusual color scheme, but I think it turned out beautifully.  See for yourself!

The tag  is created exactly the same as the center of the card, so I will tell  you how the card was created first.  I started with an A2 white card base to which I added a piece of mirror gold as a mat.  I then cut a piece of teal from the postage edge rectangle and adhered that on top of the gold. I then added a strip of white ribbon from my stash across the center of the card.   Two white ovals were cut from white cardstock, in two different sizes. A teal oval postage edge was cut to fit just inside the larger white oval, Then using Gold Foil and my Solid Oval Glimmer plate I foiled another oval to fit just inside the teal one.  (if you don't have a hot foil system or this particular plate,, you can easily cut an oval from mirrored gold cardstock instead).  I then placed the second white oval atop the fold one and glued each in place.

Next I made three purple roses and tipped the edge of each with purple ink.  They were then attached to the bottom left corner  of the ovals.  I cut the leaves from the same purple cardstock and adhered them as shown.  I also cut two gold leaf sprigs and attached hem as shown.

The small butterfly was stamped using the same purple ink as I used for the roses and cut using a die.  I glimmered the "Happy Birthday" was also glimmered with gold foil and cut out and matted onto a piece of teal cardstock.  It was then popped up onto the front of the card using foam squares.  I attached the small butterfly to the sentiment.

As a final touch I added a white bow and a gold and white button from my stash to the bottom left of the card to finish it off.

The tag was created in the same way as the oval section of the card.  I then punched a hole in the top center of the ovals to run some white ribbon through for hanging.

It went perfectly with a purple gift bag that I had in my stash.  I hope you like this combo and will give it a try for yourselt.  If you don't like the colors I chose, you can simply create it with your own favorite color combination.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for another project from this collection.  You are not going to want to miss it!
