Spellbinder's Clear Stamp and Die of the Month Shaker Card

Hello and Welcome!  Today I am featuring a card that uses the clear stamp and die of the month for June 2023.  I chose the images from the set that I wanted to use and colored them with copic markers.  They were then cut using the matching die se.

To create the card, I started with an A2 card base.  I then added a mat of dark blue cardstock.  As I said before, the images were stamped and colored with Copic markers and then applied to the dark blue cardstock.  I took a piece of light blue cardstock and stenciled bubbles onto it using some blue ink from my stash.  I cut it out using the Postage Stamp die set and glued a piece of acetate to the back side of it and added some foam squares for depth.  Before placing on card, I added some blue and silver sequins for shaky bits and attached the acetate piece to the card front.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from the same set in the same blue ink as I used for the bubbles.  It was then cutout and applied in the upper left corner.

I was going for a window into the ocean look which I think I achieved.  I hope you enjoy this card and stamp and die set.  Please be sure to check back tomorrow to see the final club kit I will be featuring!  To check out all of this month's awesome kits, just click here.

Two Spellbinder Monthly clubs - One adorable card!

Today I am showing off two of this months club kits.  The large die of the month, and the embossing folder of the month.  Both were used to create the cute card below.  I added some acetate to give the look of a real glass bottle!

Due to the nature and size of the die set, I decided to go with a 5 x 7 card base.  I added a piece of dark blue cardstock and embossed it with the Embossing Folder of the month.  It was then attached to the front of the card.

I then proceeded to cut out all the other pieces of the bottle and scene inside using the Large Die of the Month for June 2023.  This is such a wonderful set and I had so much fun creating this scene.  After it was all completed and glued in place (I added some foam squares to the waves to make it look as though the whale was between the waves).

I wanted it to look like a real bottle so I decided to cut the large background piece again, only this time from acetate.  I glued it at the top only and then attached the string piece around the neck with the tag attached to the string.  I glued the whole bottle onto the front of the card base.

Hopefully you can see the acetate piece in the above picture.  It really does make it look like a glass bottle even though it is only attached at the top.

I hope you like this card.  I sure had fun creating it and using the two monthly kits to do so.  I really like the finished product.  Be sure to stop back tomorrow when I will be showing you another wonderful club of the month for June!  To see all the monthly clubs available just click here.

June Glimmer of the Month Ocean Waves

Today we are going to talk about the GOM-June 23 called Ocean Waves.  These glimmer plates create beautiful, shiny waves that add a pretty ocean vibe to any card.

For this card I started with an A2 base card.  I then added a teal cardstock which was the same size as the base card.  It was then glued to the front of the card.  I then added a piece of white cardstock and ink blended the sky portion of the piece using a sky blue colored ink.  Then I glimmered the waves using teal foil.  I glued the back wave to the card base and  popped up the front wave using foam squares.  I then created the whale from the DOM-June23 and placed him (also popped up) among the waves.  Finally I glimmered the sentiment using the same foil, cut it out, and glued it to the card.

I hope you like how it turned out.  I love the colors  on this one and especially the whale.  Adding the popped up waves and whale added some much needed dimension to this card.  Please be sure to stop back tomorrow so that I can show you other creations from this month's wonderful set of club kits which you can see here.

Spellbinders DOM-JUNE23 Dancing Octopus and Friends

Today I am showing off two of this month's club kits for you.  The DOM and the EOM.  These are both underwater/aquatic themed kits and make for adorable cards.

I started this card with an A2 card base.  I added a piece of slightly smaller light blue cardstock that was embossed with the 3DEOM entitled Scattered Shells.  I slightly inked the surface with blue ink and attached to the base.  I then created all the adorable sea creatures using the DOM entitled Dancing Octopus and Friends, and inked the edges of the octopus using grey ink.  His eyes were highlighted with a fineline black marker.  The octopus and the jelly fish's legs all swing to and frow when the card is moved.  I then added the sign and some greenery to the bottom of my ocean scene.

I hope you like this card and will stop back again to see more of the June club kits that I have in store for you!  You can see all the kits by simply clicking here.

Spellbinders New Stitched Die of the Month for June 2023 - Stitched Shell Cardfront

Here it is the first of June already.  You know what that means, a new bunch of Club releases from Spellbinders.  The first club I will be showing off this month is the Stitched Shell Card Front die which is the Stitched Die of the Month.  This month's theme is mostly aquatic or underwater items, so if that is the kind of things you like, you are going to love this month's clubs.

To create this card, I started with an A2 card base to which I added some light blue cardstock measuring the same size as the front of the card and glued it into place.   I then created one dark blue background to place behind the layers of the die.  I cut the center piece from white cardstock and inked the edges with a similar blue color as the background.  I then stamps as small image from the clear stamp of the month onto the bottom of the white area with black ink.  I then colored it and added some sand with my copic markers.  The shells were all cut from cream colored cardstock and stitched with a thread color that matched the both the teal and the dark blue cardstocks.  They were stitched and popped up using foam squares.  Finally I glimmered the sentiment from the add on kit with teal colored foil.  This was cut out and also popped up with foam squares.

I hope you enjoy this card and can see all the possibilities this club kit offers.  To view all of this month's club kits simply click here.  Be sure to check back often this week as I will be featuring a new club kit each day.
