Peony Blooms Thank You Card

Today I decided to do a pretty floral Thank You card featuring the Peony Blooms Stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey. All the products used are listed below:

I wanted to do a split card, which I haven't done in quite some time. I stamped the image onto whip cream cardstock masking off the bottom half of the paper. Then, I re-stamped the image masking off the top half of the paper. This is how you get the affect of the top portion of the stamp being above the gap and the bottom portion of the stamp being below the gap. It was then colored and cut apart in the middle so that I could add a sentiment.

I started by stamping with black licorice ink and coloring both halves of the image with my copic markers. Once finished, I cut the paper in half and adhered it to a 5.25 x 4" piece of whip cream cardstock leaving enough space in the middle to fit my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using black licorice.

This piece was then mounted onto a fresh forest card base and spattered with peaches and cream, black licorice, and sparkle silks. As a final touch, I added some green rainbow drops.

I think it made for a very pretty thank you card!

Start Each Day with a Grateful Heart

I really try to do this every day. In fact, I have this exact saying framed over my fireplace. So when I saw this stamp, I knew I had to make a card for it. All the details are listed below.

I really wanted a sunny, early morning look to this card and so chose this fun, bright, and colorful printed paper from the Create and Bloom Prints. It paired perfectly with Limeade Splash cardstock which I used as the base card.

I recently purchased the Fancy Frames Oval dies from Sunny Studios and decided to use them on this particular card to offset the sentiment. I cut them out of Limeade Splash cardstock and used all the pieces to create this pretty oval. The sentiment was stamped on Whip Cream cardstock using black Licorice ink. I then die cut the sentiment using the Cottage Cutz Stitched Oval Frame die set. It was then adhered to the center of the green oval.

And, what better than a hot cup of coffee or tea to start your day, so I stamped the coffee cup image from the Coffee Helps stamp set twice on Whip Cream Cardstock once using Black Licorice and then another image in Limeade Splash ink. I die cut the black stamped image using the coordinating die. The green stamped image, I just fussy cut the green stripe out and adhered it to the black stamped cup. The steam was then stamped in black licorice ink and fussy cut. I adhered it to the top of the cup and glued the cup to the lower right side of the oval.

As a final added touch, I added a piece of the printed paper to the envelope flap. I love the added touch and how it really coordinates with the card! This is a quick, simple card that can easily be mailed to that special person.

Happy Anniversary to you!

I just love this Avery Elle Hand Drawn Florals Stamp set. It makes for some lovely cards. Here is today's using this stamp along with some other goodies. All the supplies used are listed below.

You all know by now how much I love to color and this stamp set was a perfect one to color. I stamped the image using Black Licorice onto Whip Cream Cardstock and colored with my copic markers. I actually stamped and colored two of the larger flowers. Once done, I fussy cut it out (I didn't have the matching die at the time, but I do now!) and attached it to a strip of Whip Cream Cardstock. I placed the second large flower on top of the first and popped it up with foam squares. I played around with different color combinations for the rest of the papers, and came up with this one, which coordinates beautifully. I used a base card of Lemongrass and added a mat of this beautiful plaid from the Playful Prints Paper pack. I then matted the floral strip with another piece of lemongrass and attached it across the center top portion of the card.

I decided to make this an anniversary card, since I don't have many of them. I used the Gina K Scripty Sayings 2 stamp set and stamped it directly onto the plaid paper using clear pigment ink. It was then heat embossed with black embossing powder.

I had enough scrap paper to be able to decorate the flap of the envelope to match. I really like to do this whenever possible. I think it makes for a nicer presentation.
