While experimenting with my Glimmer Hot Foil system, I created this fun and glimmered birthday card. You all should know by now that pink is my favorite color, so it seemed the perfect pairing for this card.
I was playing with two glimmer plates, the Diamonetta Background and the Fanfare Border using gold foil. I wanted to see if I could use two different glimmer plates to create a simple band across a card. Lo and behold, it worked! I created this lovely band across my card!
The next issue was how to use it and what type of card to make. Well you all know pink is my favorite color, so I placed a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of pink cardstock onto a white card base and adhered it in place.
Next, I cut my white cardstock with the new glimmered border to 5.25 x 4 inches and adhered it to the pink paper.
I chose to make it a birthday card because we always need them. So I used the Elegant Occasion Glimmer Sentiments and gold foil to create the "happy Birthday" on white cardstock. It was then cut out using the die that came with the set and popped up using foam squares.
I wanted to add a little something more to the card so using the Petite Floral Potpourri Die Set, I cut out several flowers from pink cardstock. I also cut some of the greenery from green cardstock. They were then glued together and adhered to the front of the card as shown in the photo. I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ivory Seashell to the center of each flower.
Here is a close up of the finished card:
My Platinum 6 die cutting machine, Bearly arts glue, and Easy Glide tape runner were also used in the making of this card. .
