Well I have sort of been MIA the past week or so, I have been working on so many projects, gifts and orders, that I have not had time to post here. But they are all finished and I have a backload of cards to post. So get ready! I will try and post a new card every day.
This is the first:
To create this card, I started with a white card base. I then found a piece of pink and peach 6x6 paper in my stash.
I then used the Skinny Striped Background Glimmer Plate and Gold Foil using the Spellbinders Hot Foil Glimmer system and glimmered the watercolor design paper. It turned out so well that I decided to create a square design, so I foiled it again turning the paper so it would foil squares. It worked! I was so surprised that the squares turned out perfectly!.
I then cut it out using the Heartfelt Creations Cut Mat Create 2A die set. I then adhered it to the base card.
I cut out the fancy leaves also from the Heartfelt Creations Cut Mat Create 2A die set from peach cardstock. It was then adhered to the left side of the card.
The flowers were created using Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers III for the large flower and the Petite Floral Potpourri for the two smaller flowers from white cardstock. The were then tinted with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. I used the altenew detailed blending brushes for this step. Stamens (which I got on Amazon) were then added and glued to secure them.
I took a fusion ink sponge and cut out a small pie-shaped piece. I then dipped the sponge it into Art Glitter Glue and tapped it onto the top of each flower to cover all the tips of the flowers. Then I immediately dipped it into sparkle dust. I trimmed the stamen threads and added a foam square to each flower. They were then adhered to the leaves as shown in the photo.
Here is a close up of the finished large flower.
I then added three Gold Mix Color Essential Gems for ambellishments.
Finally I added the sentiment from the Everyday Glimmer Sentiments 2 onto white cardstock using the gold foil. It was then cut out using the die that is included and popped up below the watercolor piece using the foam squares.
This was originally just an experience to see how I could glimmer onto decorative paper, and two to see if I could create the square design using the striped glimmer plate. Both were successful, so I decided to continue on and create a card. I really love how it turned out with the foiling and then the glitter flowers.
