Joy Glimmer Christmas Card

Today I have created a colorful, glimmer Christmas card.  I absolutely love my glimmer hot foil machine and play with it at every opportunity.  I have also watched a lot of videos showing how to use it for different techniques.  Here is the card I created.

To create this card I started with an A2 sized white  card base.  I then cut a piece of black cardstock that was 4 x 5.25 .  It was then glimmered using the largest die from the set Elegant Rectangle Glimmer Plate from Spellbinders  (which is now on sale!) using Glimmer Hot Foil in Gold .  That was then attached to the base card using Easy Glide adhesive runner.

Next I hot foiled the second smaller plate in the set onto white paper using the Glimmer Hot Foil in Gold.  It was then fussy cut using my detail pro scissors.  I  popped it up using foam squares centered on the black portion of the card.

Using red cardstock and red  foil, I foiled and die cut several poinsettias using the Glimmer Poinsettia Hot Foil Plate and Die set .  They were glued together and the stamens (from my stash) were inserted into the center of each flower.  They were then arranged and adhered to the card front using foam squares  ,

Next, I received this lovely Joy die as a free gift from The Stamps of Life for being a subscriber to their Die Hard Club.  I cut it from red cardstock and adhered  it to the center of the white piece.  You could use any Christmas sentiment you wanted.

Here is a photo of the finished card:

I love the contrast of the black and red together along with the foiled accents.   I think it made for a very pretty and different Christmas Card.

A Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine was also used to create this card along with bearly art glue.
