Small Die of the Month - January

I must say that this month's small die of the month from Spellbinders is sooooo very cute and versatile that it is becoming one of my favorites.  Today I have created another card using  it and my all time favorite die set Snapshot Frames from Fun Stampers Journey!  I have listed the supplies used below.

I started off using a Raspberry Berry card base.  I then found some cute polka dot paper from my stash to add as a mat.  Then, I die cut the snapshot frames die from Black Licorice.  The background for my "photo" was cut from Whip Cream Cardstock and sponged with Pool Play pan pastel using my small dauber.

I then cut out and assembled my little girl using the die of the month.  I decided to enhance her hair by adding some streaks using my copic markers.  I also added highlights to her eyes with a white gel pen.

She was then glued to the card and the frame.  I decided to have her arms and hair outside the frame area.  I cut a Watermelon Fusion heart using the snapshot frames die set and popped it up onto the frame using foam squares.  The highlight on the heart was also added with the white gel pen.  I then added the sentiment from the Too Cute stamp set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

As a final touch, I added some pink twine bows to her pigtails.

I LOVE how this card turned out!  You could substitute the boy from the set too if you wanted to.  Either way it was a really fun card to create.

  1. I love your card! I have been having fun playing with mine too. The coloring on her hair made such a difference.
