My First Valentine Card of the Year!

Well now that Christmas is over, it is time to get started on Valentine's cards.  I normally donate all my unsold cards to the local senior home where my neighbor works.  I have no Valentine cards to give them, or anyone for that matter.  So I need to get started ASAP.  Here is the first of what I hope will be the start of many.

For this card I started with a beautiful digital stamp from Graciellie Designs called Floral Heart.  Once I saw it I know I had to have it.  I purchased it and then downloaded the file.  It was then imported into my Silhouette Cameo software, where I was able to resize it and add the  included sentiment the way I wanted it to appear.  I then printed it out onto X-press It Blending Cardstock (this is the only paper I will copic color on) so that I could color it using my Copic Markers.

I then trimmed it down to measure 4 x 5.25"  using my paper trimmer.  Then I cut a slightly larger 4.24 x 5.5" piece of pink cardstock to place behind the colored image.  Both were adhered to an A2 white card base using Bearly Art liquid Glue

As a final touch, I found some matching enamel dots from my stash to complete the look.

You all know how I love to color, so this was a labor of love for me.  I really love how the flowers look so dimensional and make a heart shape.  I also love that the sentiment came with the cut file.  I hope you will check out Graciellie Designs.  I am not in any way affiliated with her, but I believe her files are awesome.  I own several of them and I just love them!  Digital stamps are great because you store them on your computer and need no physical storage like you do regular stamps.

If  you click on SOME of the links in the blog or purchase from any of the vendors on the left side of each post,  please use my link (just click on the image for the store you want to use).  It will not affect your purchase in any way, but will provide me with a very small compensation for your order.  Some are affiliate links, some are not.  This is what helps me to be able to purchase new products to share with you!  Thank you!  It is very much appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!
