The Glimmer Hot Foils Kit Club is now available over at Spellbinders! This beautiful kit is entitled Botanical Crest. I have created 3 cards to inspire you to use this kit. And for this month only, if you sign up for a kit, you get a free gift! Here is a photo of all three together.
This first card is probably my favorite as it is pink. I started with a white base card to which I added a piece of soft pink cardstock from my stash which I cut out with my paper trimmer, and adhered it with easy glide tape adhesive. I hot foiled the wreath and sentiment directly onto a piece of white cardstock using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and my gold foil. It was then also trimmed so that it would leave a slight pink border around the edge.
Next, using the same pink cardstock as before, I cut out numerous small pink flowers using the die that came in the kit,and my platinum 6 die cutting machine. They were glued onto the wreath using liquid glue. As a final touch, I added some small pink enamel dots and a pink bow using ribbon from my stash. The ribbon was cut using my detail pro shears and adhered to the card front using a glue dot.
This card was done basically the same way, except I matted the front with a darker pink cardstock, foiled the wreath in bright pink foil and die cut both the inside and outside of the wreath, which was popped up using foam squares. The sentiment in the middle was foiled onto the same pink as the first card using gold foil. It was also cut using the matching die and then adhered to the center of the wreath. The bow was made using dark pink ribbon from my stash. And, finally, I die cut several small flowers out of the dark pink paper and adhered them scattered on the front of the card.
This third card is very fancy, using all gold and white. I used Mirrored Gold cardstock for the frame around the center white piece. I took a piece of white cardstock and foiled it using the Skinny Stripe Background Plate and matte gold foil. Another separate piece of white cardstock was foiled with the same foil and the wreath plate and then I cut out the inside of the wreath placed it onto the center of the striped background. I used the inside wreath die to cut thru both the wreath and the striped background at the same time. They were lined up and the wreath and the backgound paper were then glued together using liquid glue. The sentiment was then foiled onto a piece of white cardstock and cut out with the included die. I popped it up using foam squares and centered it in the cutout area.
I used the included flower die and cut several gold flowers from the mirrored gold paper and place them in clusters around the wreath. I then tied and added a gold bow which was attached using glue dots.
This is a beautiful kit and I hope that you will consider purchasing it. There is no commitment! You have until the 24th of December to order this, but don't wait! It might sell out before then.
