Candy Cane Christmas

I don't know about you, but I love candy canes and the beautiful combination of red and white.  This card is no exception.

Isn't it pretty!  I love how the candy canes are framed by the Floral Ovals die!  All  of the products used are listed below.

I started out using a base card of Candy Apply card stock.  I then cut the pretty striped paper from the Cozy Prints paper pack to 5.25 x 4".  The die Cut Floral Oval was then cut from Whip Cream card stock.

Next I stamped the two candy canes and the bow onto Whip Cream card stock using the Spellbinders Christmas Candy Canes stamp and die set.  I then colored all three pieces using Copic Sketch Markers (colors used are also listed below).  I then used a Gelly Roll white pen to add the highlight down the front of each candy cane.

They were die cut using the matching dies and popped up on the oval frame using foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment using the FSJ Sparkle Trim Stamp set using Versamark Watermark Ink and Whisper Red Tinsel glittered embossing powder.

As a final touch, I added four red FJS Summer Sparkle drops to the center of each flower design on the oval.

Here is a closeup of the finished card.

I hope you like how it turned out.  I love the color combinations and think it makes for an awesome Christmas card.  If you would like to create this card for someone special, I have listed all the products below.  They are linked to the website where they may be purchased.
