Spellbinders Glimmer Kit of the month for November 2021 (Day3)

Hello all my crafty friends!  Well today is November.3, and you know what that means, the new kits for November have all been released over at Spellbinders!  Today is the last day of my cards that I have made using this wonderful Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month  entitled Curved Christmas Glimmer Borders.  There are also several other wonderful kits that you can choose from.  Value Clubs have several Value Club options available for those who would like to join multiple clubs at once

Here is the last of three cards I created using the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month .

I really wanted to think outside the box for this last card and try something completely different with this set.  I started with a white base card.  I then cut a piece of red cardstock measuring 4 x5.25 using my paper trimmer

Next was the really challenging part.  I took 3 pieces of white cardstock and used two of the glimmer plates from the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month to create three different pieces using the Glimmer Hot Foil System.   One piece used green and gold foil, the middle piece was foiled using red and green foil.  and finally the bottom section used silver and  red foil.  Each strip was then cut using the enclosed dies from the set and my Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.

I arranged them so that they appeared to be one continuous piece across the front by gluing them up against each other on the red cardstock making sure that some of the red was left showing, using the Bearly Art Precision Glue.  Then the pieces were trimmed to fit using my Grand Pro Shears.  This was then attached to the base card using my Easy Glide Tape Runner.

Next I wasn't sure what to add to this card, so I decided to use white and green cardstock and cut out three poinsettias using the Christmas Blooms Etched Die set. They were adhered to the front of the card using the liquid glue.  A   small Gold Mix Essential Gem was then placed in the center of each poinsettia.

For the sentiment I chose the Warm Holiday Wishes from the Holiday Sentiments Series 2 Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it using the gold foil as used above.  The matching die from the set was then used to cut it out and it was popped up on the bottom of the card using foam squares.

All in all, I believe that I achieved my goal of creating something different with this set.  I hope you like it!  Please let me know in the comments below.
