Sending My Love Tone on Tone Card

Today I decided to try something a little different.  I wanted to try a tone on tone affect using hot foil and colored cardstock.

I started this card by using a white base card.  I then  had some FSJ Turbo Teal paper in my stash and used it to foil some foliage in a circle pattern using Sky Bright foil and the Glimmer Foliage Border plate.  I accomplished this by using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and foiling three section in a cirlce design.  The paper was cut to 4 x 5.25 using my paper trimmer and adhered to the front of the card base using Easy Glide Tape Runner.

Next, I used some white cardstock and foiled the circle from the same set using the same Sky Bright Foil.  I then used the Nestabilities Standard Circles Die Set and cut it out using the Platinum 6 die cutting machine. .  It was then popped up onto the front of the card in the center of the foliage using foam squares.

I then chose the sentiment from Yana's Sentiments Glimmer plate and foiled it using Gold Foil.  It was cut out using the matching die in the set.  This was adhered to the circle using Bearly Art liquid glue.  For the final touch, I added some clear dew drops from my stash.

I think my tone-on-tone experiment was a success!  I really like the simplicity of this card and all the foiled sparkle.  I hope you like it too.
