I thought I would share some of the cards I made using the Spellbinders, Clear stamp and die of the month for November, called Around the Holidays. This is no longer available, but for those of you who subscribed to this kit, here are some examples of what you can do with it.
I started out with some blue cardstock. I then stamped the snowflake stamp from the Around the Holidays stamp set onto the blue cardstock using clear pigment ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing paper. The die was then used to trim the wave underneath the snowflakes using my platinum 6 machine. It was then trimmed with my paper trimmer to fit an A2 card base and glued to the front with liquid glue. With the FSJ Holiday Joy Stamps, I stamped the sentiment also using clear pigment ink and heat embossed it on the left side of the card using my heat gun..
On the right side, I created a snowflake using the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Snowflake DOM-NOV19. I started with the largest snowflake from the set and cut out 3 from white card stock using my platinum 6 machine. They were then stacked and glued together using liquid glue. Then using the same die, I cut the snowflake from silver glitter paper and glued it to the stack. For the medium snowflake I used two layers of white glitter paper and adhered them first to each other and then to the stack. The smallest snowflake was cut from blue glitter paper and added to the stack. Once dry, I added foam squares to the back and attached it to the right side of the card. I found a white enamel dot and adhered it to the center of the snowflake.
For the next card, I began it the same way as the first, stamping, embossing, and cutting the blue paper. I then cut out the Spellbinders Snowman Die using my platinum 6 machine. He was assembled using liquid glue and adhered to the right front of the card. I then die cut several white snowflakes from Sunny Studios Basic Mini Shapes Die II and adhered them to the blue area also. Using Vera Fine Claire, Nocturne ink and the Stamps of Life Snowman2stamp set, I added the sentiment in the lower left portion of the card front. As a final touch, I added some highlights to the snowman using my white gel pen.
I hope these cards will inspire you. If you don't have the exact dies (i.e.), snowflake and snowman. use something similar from your stash. This will also make the card your own!. They are both fairly quick and easy to make to send to that special friend this holiday season.
