Silver and Pink, Glimmer and Shine Birthday Card

Well, you all know by now that pink is my favorite color.  So of course, this card is pink, but you can create it in whatever your favorite color is.

I started this card by selecting a white card base.  I then matted a piece of pink paper cut to 4 x 5.25 using my paper trimmer and adhered it to the base card using my easy glide tape runner.  I found this really pretty foiled piece of silver and white paper in my stash and added that next by cutting it to 3.75 x 5 inches and also adhered it to the base card.

I chose to use the Honey Bee Stamps In Full Bloom stamp and die set.  It is retiring, but as of this writing is still available at a reduced price.  So if you like it, don't hesitate or it could be gone!  I stamped the image onto X-press it Blending Cardstock,  which is the only paper I will use for copic coloring, using memento tuxedo black ink using my Misti stamping tool.  This was then colored using various copic markers and cut out using my platinum 6 die cutting machine.  It was then centered, and adhered to the from of the card, using Bearly Art liquid glue. Using white cardstock, I hot foiled it using the Glimmer Birthday Hugs hot foil plate, and the Glimmer Hot Foil System.  I chose to use silver foil as it matched the background paper so well.  Once foiled, I cut it out using the matching die and popped it up onto the card using foam squares.

The flower in the upper right corner was created using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose stamp and die set.  I stamped the flower petals using Festive Berries Distressed Ink.  The petals were cut out using the matching die set and shaped using the 3D  Rose shaping mold.  Once dried, I glued the petals together to create the flower and I added the liquid glue to the center of the flower and placed some Prills in Mini Pearl to the center. Once the prills dried, I adhered the flower to the card as shown using the liquid glue.

As a final touch, I added a shiny silver bow using some ribbon I had in my stash and cutting it with my detail pro shears.  Here is another look at the finished card.

I hope you like this card, if you do, please leave a comment below.  I love to hear your thoughts, and or any questions you may have.  And remember. this stamp and die set is retiring, so if you like it, get it now before it is gone for good!
