More inspiration from the Spellbinders Clear Stamp and Die Kit of the Month for November 2021

I thought I would share two more of the cards I made using the Spellbinders, Clear stamp and die of the month for November, called Around the Holidays.  This is no longer available, (but may be in the future)  but for those of you who subscribed to this kit, here are some examples of what you can do with it.

When I first saw this stamp set and saw the stamp with all the packages, well that reminded me of Santa.  So I started out by stamping the packages onto a piece of X-press it cardstock since I new I would be coloring them with my copics.  The matching die from the set was used to cut the edge of the cardstock just below the packages using my Platinum 6 die cutting machine.  With the paper trimmer, I cut the white cardstock to fit onto a A2 white cardbase.  I Then colored the packages using my copic markers. Using my domed blender, I applied some Mowed Lawn distress ink behind where the Santa would be so that he would show up a little more.  I also cut out the Ho Ho Ho, using the Honeybee Tailgate Alphabet die and my  Platinum 6 die cutting machine.  Each word was cut from a different color cardstock and adhered on the left side of the card. Next I cut some red glitter paper from my stash to fit the entire front of the card using my paper trimmer.  It was then adhered to the front of the card base using liquid glue.  Once that was dried, I adhered the white cardstock piece on top of the red glitter paper using the  liquid glue.  It was aligned along the top and sides of the card.

Santa was created using the Spellbinders Santa Die and liquid glue  I then placed a wobble onto the back of Santa and stuck him to the green shaded area.  Here is a photo of the completed card:

Here is a close up of Santa:

When I saw the next stamp with ornaments, well that made me think of a Christmas Tree.  I started by stamping the image onto X-press it cardstock since I new I was going to be coloring the ornaments.  It was stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. and colored with my copic markers. Using the matching die, I cut the curved edge.  The next thing I did was trim the white paper so that it fit onto the front of the A2 base card as shown.  Using some Green Holographic paper from my stash and the Spellbinders Whimsy Woods Die Set, I cut two trees from the green Holographic paper and adhered them to the right side of the white paper.  Next I cut a piece of green holographic paper  to fit the entire front of the card base using my paper trimmer.  It was then adhered to the base card, using liquid glue.

The white portion of the card was then adhered on top of the green holographic paper as shown also using liquid adhesive.  Next I die cut the sentiment using red cardstock and a Scrapbook Merry Christmas Word Die which was a free gift with purchase.  This was adhered to the front left of the card.  Here are some images of this card.

I hope you enjoyed these inspirational cards and that they gave you some ideas for how you too, can create more cards using these stamps and dies.

Which one is your favorite?  I personally like the Santa card the best.  I like that he wobbles on the card front.  If you don't have wobbles you can simply pop him up with foam squares.  Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below.

Inspiration From Clear Stamp and Die of the Month for November 2021

I thought I would share some of the cards I made using the Spellbinders, Clear stamp and die of the month for November, called Around the Holidays.  This is no longer available, but for those of you who subscribed to this kit, here are some examples of what you can do with it.

I started out with some blue cardstock.  I then stamped the snowflake stamp from the Around the Holidays stamp set onto the blue cardstock using clear pigment ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing paper.  The die was then used to trim the wave underneath the snowflakes using my platinum 6 machine.  It was then trimmed with my paper trimmer to fit an A2 card base and glued to the front with liquid glue.  With the FSJ Holiday Joy Stamps, I stamped the sentiment also using clear pigment ink and heat embossed it on the left side of the card using my heat gun..

On the right side, I created a snowflake using the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Snowflake DOM-NOV19.  I started with the largest snowflake from the set and cut out 3 from white card stock using my platinum 6 machine.  They were then stacked and glued together using liquid glue.  Then using the same die, I cut the snowflake from silver glitter paper and glued it to the stack.  For the medium snowflake I used two layers of white glitter paper and adhered them first to each other and then to the stack.  The smallest snowflake was cut from blue glitter paper and added to the stack.  Once dry, I added foam squares to the back and attached it to the right side of the card.   I found a white enamel dot and adhered it to the center of the snowflake.

For the next card, I began it the same way as the first, stamping, embossing, and cutting the blue paper.  I then cut out the Spellbinders Snowman Die using my platinum 6 machine.  He was assembled using liquid glue and adhered to the right front of the card.  I then die cut several white snowflakes from Sunny Studios Basic Mini Shapes Die II and adhered them to the blue area also.  Using Vera Fine Claire, Nocturne ink and the Stamps of Life Snowman2stamp set, I added the sentiment in the lower left portion of the card front.  As a final touch, I added some highlights to the snowman using my white gel pen.

I hope these cards will inspire you.  If you don't have the exact dies (i.e.), snowflake and snowman. use something similar from your stash.  This will also make the card your own!.  They are both fairly quick and easy to make to send to that special friend this holiday season.

Playing with November 2021 Die Clubs 0f the Month.

I so love all the die and stamp kits for this month from Spellbinders.  They are all coordinating and can be used in many different ways.  I have already showed you cards from the Glimmer kit of the month, and now I am showing off the Large and Small dies of the month together in one card.

I love how all the pretty Christmas colors really pop off the white background.  To start I used a A2 base card.  I then took a piece of 4 X 5.25 white cardstock (which was cut using my paper trimmer) and die cut along the bottom edge using the Large Die of the Month - Christmas Strip and Borders and my Platinum 6 die cutting machine.  .  This was then  centered across the top and sides of the base card and adhered using Bearly Art liquid glue. Then using dark red, red, and dark green, I cut out all the elements for the floral border.  They were also adhered on top of the original cutout.  I used my copic markers, E59 and colored the stems for the berries and YG67 for the tops of the berries.  The centers of all the flowers were cut from yellow cardstock.

After the florals were all done, I added a piece of medium green cardstock cut with another one of the dies from the same set and adhered it above the floral area.  Next, I cut out the ornaments from the Small Die of the Month for November 2021 - Stitched Curved Border and Ornaments.  The base of each ornament was cut from Brushed Gold.  The details of each ornament were cut from dark green and dark red then adhered to the bases.  The hangers were cut from Brushed silver and the strings were cut from black cardstock. The ornaments were arranged  above the green trim as seen in the photo.  The hangers were then adhered to the ornaments.  The strings were glued in place and trimmed with my detail pro shears.

I decided to add a little glimmer to the sentiment, so I chose the use the Holiday Sentiments 2 Glimmer plate , gold foil, and my Glimmer hot foil system.  Once Glimmered it was cut out using the included die.  It was popped up using foam squares.  Here is another photo of the finished card.

I love how this turned out and how Spellbinders made most of the clubs coordinated.  This makes for more ways to use the die.

Purple Floral Sympathy card

One of the cards that I find personally hard to create are Sympathy Cards.  I am low on my supply of them so decided to try and create a few.  Here is the first one I came up with.

I started out with a white base card.  I then found some purple plaid paper in my stash.  It is such a pretty paper, but I basically chose it because of the gold foiled lines in the plaid.  Which is hard to see in the photo.  This piece was cut to 4 x 5.25 using my paper trimmer.  It was then centered and adhered to the base card using Easy Glide Adhesive Tape Runner.

I had just received the Sweet Blooms Glimmer plate and wanted to give it a try.  So I foiled it onto some white paper using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and Gold foil.  Once foiled, I colored in the flowers and leaves using my copic markers.  The flowers were colored in a shade of purple to co-ordinate with the background paper.  It was trimmed to 3.25 x 5 inches using the paper trimmer and adhered to the card using Easy Glide Adhesive Tape Runner.r.

I chose to the Elegant Occasions Glimmer Plate for the Sentiment along with the Gold foil.  It was foiled the same as above.  It was then die cut using my Platinum 6 and the coordinating die from the set.  I then popped it up using foam squares and placed it across the top center of the card.  Lastly, I added some purple rainbow gems from my stash.

I felt that placing the flowers across the bottom gave me more room to place the sentiment.  I didn't want it to cover any of the flowers.  I was really pleased with the way it came out.  I especially like how the small gold lines from the background paper peak out from behind the main piece.  It just adds a little extra gold to the finished card.

Sending My Love Tone on Tone Card

Today I decided to try something a little different.  I wanted to try a tone on tone affect using hot foil and colored cardstock.

I started this card by using a white base card.  I then  had some FSJ Turbo Teal paper in my stash and used it to foil some foliage in a circle pattern using Sky Bright foil and the Glimmer Foliage Border plate.  I accomplished this by using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and foiling three section in a cirlce design.  The paper was cut to 4 x 5.25 using my paper trimmer and adhered to the front of the card base using Easy Glide Tape Runner.

Next, I used some white cardstock and foiled the circle from the same set using the same Sky Bright Foil.  I then used the Nestabilities Standard Circles Die Set and cut it out using the Platinum 6 die cutting machine. .  It was then popped up onto the front of the card in the center of the foliage using foam squares.

I then chose the sentiment from Yana's Sentiments Glimmer plate and foiled it using Gold Foil.  It was cut out using the matching die in the set.  This was adhered to the circle using Bearly Art liquid glue.  For the final touch, I added some clear dew drops from my stash.

I think my tone-on-tone experiment was a success!  I really like the simplicity of this card and all the foiled sparkle.  I hope you like it too.

Silver and Pink, Glimmer and Shine Birthday Card

Well, you all know by now that pink is my favorite color.  So of course, this card is pink, but you can create it in whatever your favorite color is.

I started this card by selecting a white card base.  I then matted a piece of pink paper cut to 4 x 5.25 using my paper trimmer and adhered it to the base card using my easy glide tape runner.  I found this really pretty foiled piece of silver and white paper in my stash and added that next by cutting it to 3.75 x 5 inches and also adhered it to the base card.

I chose to use the Honey Bee Stamps In Full Bloom stamp and die set.  It is retiring, but as of this writing is still available at a reduced price.  So if you like it, don't hesitate or it could be gone!  I stamped the image onto X-press it Blending Cardstock,  which is the only paper I will use for copic coloring, using memento tuxedo black ink using my Misti stamping tool.  This was then colored using various copic markers and cut out using my platinum 6 die cutting machine.  It was then centered, and adhered to the from of the card, using Bearly Art liquid glue. Using white cardstock, I hot foiled it using the Glimmer Birthday Hugs hot foil plate, and the Glimmer Hot Foil System.  I chose to use silver foil as it matched the background paper so well.  Once foiled, I cut it out using the matching die and popped it up onto the card using foam squares.

The flower in the upper right corner was created using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose stamp and die set.  I stamped the flower petals using Festive Berries Distressed Ink.  The petals were cut out using the matching die set and shaped using the 3D  Rose shaping mold.  Once dried, I glued the petals together to create the flower and I added the liquid glue to the center of the flower and placed some Prills in Mini Pearl to the center. Once the prills dried, I adhered the flower to the card as shown using the liquid glue.

As a final touch, I added a shiny silver bow using some ribbon I had in my stash and cutting it with my detail pro shears.  Here is another look at the finished card.

I hope you like this card, if you do, please leave a comment below.  I love to hear your thoughts, and or any questions you may have.  And remember. this stamp and die set is retiring, so if you like it, get it now before it is gone for good!

Thinking of you

Today I am taking a break from Christmas Cards.  I found this beautiful Wild Roses Digital Stamp from Alex Siberia and decided to use it on today's card.

Once I purchased the file, I imported it into my Silhouette Cameo 3 softtware.  It was then sized and  printed out onto X-press it Blending Cardstock.  (This is my favorite paper for blending and coloring with Copic Markers).  I colored the image with copic markers.

I knew I wanted to foil the sentiment, so I needed to add some gold to the card.  I decided to go with a white base card and then cut a piece of brushed gold cardstock to 4 x 5.25 inches using my paper trimmer.  This was then centered and adhered to the base card using an Easy Glide Tape Runner.

The finished, colored, digital piece was then trimmed to 3.75 x 5 inches and centered onto the gold paper using the Easy Glide Tape Runner.

The sentiment was foiled using the Glimmer Hot Foil System and my Platinum 6 die cutting machine.  I used gold foil on white cardstock.  The coordinating die was used to cut it out. It was then popped up using Foam Squares and placed onto the front of the card. As a final embellishment, I added three gold pearls from my stash.

Here is another photo of the finished card:

The hardest part of this card was by far the coloring.  It was very time consuming, but for someone who loves to color as much as I do, it was no problem.  I think It turned out pretty and I hope you like it too.

Spellbinders Glimmer Kit of the month for November 2021 (Day3)

Hello all my crafty friends!  Well today is November.3, and you know what that means, the new kits for November have all been released over at Spellbinders!  Today is the last day of my cards that I have made using this wonderful Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month  entitled Curved Christmas Glimmer Borders.  There are also several other wonderful kits that you can choose from.  Value Clubs have several Value Club options available for those who would like to join multiple clubs at once

Here is the last of three cards I created using the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month .

I really wanted to think outside the box for this last card and try something completely different with this set.  I started with a white base card.  I then cut a piece of red cardstock measuring 4 x5.25 using my paper trimmer

Next was the really challenging part.  I took 3 pieces of white cardstock and used two of the glimmer plates from the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month to create three different pieces using the Glimmer Hot Foil System.   One piece used green and gold foil, the middle piece was foiled using red and green foil.  and finally the bottom section used silver and  red foil.  Each strip was then cut using the enclosed dies from the set and my Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.

I arranged them so that they appeared to be one continuous piece across the front by gluing them up against each other on the red cardstock making sure that some of the red was left showing, using the Bearly Art Precision Glue.  Then the pieces were trimmed to fit using my Grand Pro Shears.  This was then attached to the base card using my Easy Glide Tape Runner.

Next I wasn't sure what to add to this card, so I decided to use white and green cardstock and cut out three poinsettias using the Christmas Blooms Etched Die set. They were adhered to the front of the card using the liquid glue.  A   small Gold Mix Essential Gem was then placed in the center of each poinsettia.

For the sentiment I chose the Warm Holiday Wishes from the Holiday Sentiments Series 2 Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it using the gold foil as used above.  The matching die from the set was then used to cut it out and it was popped up on the bottom of the card using foam squares.

All in all, I believe that I achieved my goal of creating something different with this set.  I hope you like it!  Please let me know in the comments below.

Spellbinders Glimmer Kit of the month for November 2021 (Day2)

Hello all my crafty friends!  Well today is November.2, and you know what that means, the new kits for November have all been released over at Spellbinders!  For the next couple days, I will be showing off cards that I have made using this wonderful Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month  entitled Curved Christmas Glimmer Borders.  There are also several other wonderful kits that you can choose from.  Value Clubs have several Value Club options available for those who would like to join multiple clubs at once

Here is the first of three cards I created using the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month .

I started this card using a white base card.  I then cut a piece of red and white striped glitter paper from my stash to measure 5.25 x 4 inches using my paper trimmer.  It was centered, and adhered to the base card using Bearly Art precision craft glue.  Next, using a piece of white cardstock and my Hot Foil Glimmer System and Silver Foil, I foiled the loop plate, the foliage plate and the Merry Christmas plate onto the cardstock as shown in the photo..  I then cut along the looped edge using the included die and my Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.  The piece was then trimmed to fit over the striped paper leaving it partially showing from the bottom.  The foliage from the glimmer plate was then colored using copic markers.  The berries in the foliage design were each covered with a silver mix color essentials gems to add some interest to the foliage strip.

To add some more interest and color to this card, I decided to place a poinsettia in the upper right section above the curve.  I used red cardstock and the Poinsettia Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Die Set along with red foil for the flower portion and green cardstock and green foil for the leaves.  The flower and leaves were die cut and then adhered to the card using Bearly Art precision craft glue.  Another silver six color essential gem was placed in the center of the poinsettia.

Although similar to yesterday's card, I believe it was different enough to share.  I hope you like it.  If you liked one better than the other, please let me know in the comments.

Spellbinders Glimmer Kit of the month for November 2021 (Day1)

Hello all my crafty friends!  Well today is November.1, and you know what that means, the new kits for November are all being released today over at Spellbinders!  For the next several days, I will be showing off cards that I have made using this wonderful Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month  entitled Curved Christmas Glimmer Borders.  There are also several other wonderful kits that you can choose from.  Value Clubs have several Value Club options available for those who would like to join multiple clubs at once

Here is the first of three cards I created using the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month .

I started this card using a white base card.  I then cut a piece of red glitter paper from my stash to measure 5.25 x 4 inches using my paper trimmer.  It was centered, and adhered to the base card using Bearly Art precision craft glue.  Next, using a piece of white cardstock and my Hot Foil Glimmer System and Silver Foil, I foiled the loop plate, the foliage plate and the Merry Christmas plate onto the cardstock as shown in the photo.  I then cut along the looped edge using the included die and my Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.  The piece was then trimmed to fit over the glitter paper leaving it partially showing from the bottom.  The foliage from the glimmer plate was then colored using copic markers.  Then this was attached to the glittered paper using Foam Squares.

For a final touch, I decided to cut three ornaments from silver and red glitter paper using the Holiday Decorations Etched Dies.  The tops of the ornaments were cut from Brushed Silver cardstock using the same die set.

The ornaments and toppers were adhered to the card with liquid glue and arranged as shown in the photo.  I then created three thin lines to show that the ornaments were hanging, by using a ruler and a fine line black liner.

Here is another photo of the completed card.

Be sure to stop back the next couple of days to see more cards created with this wonderful glimmer kit of the month.  And remember to check out all Spellbinders Clubs to see what wonderful items you can receive monthly.
