Today I am featuring yet another new collection released from Spellbinders. It is called the BOO Dance Party. I had so much fun creating with this collection. You must check it out! It comes with more dies than I have shown below, and if you are into Halloween, like I am, you are gonna love it. As always all the products used will be listed below.
Here are three examples.
If you know me at all, you know I love pink. So I wanted to incorporate it into this Halloween card. I started with an A2 card base to which I added a matt of black cardstock. I then added some of this pretty plaid background paper which has some pink along with other halloween colors. I then cut a rectangle piece in pink to match the background paper and added my dancing ghost along with his treat bucket and some loose candies. The sentiment was then die cut using the included die from black and attached to the card as shown. This is so cute as the ghosts legs swing back and forth making it an interactive card.
I especially love this card. It is a slider card and the ghost travels across the front of the card when the slider tab is pulled. The slider tab also completes the sentiment. He starts at the left side of the card and travels to the right when the tab is pulled.
I started with a 5x7 white card base. I added some yellow to the front. Then I took a slightly smaller piece to create my background and slider mechanism. I used Broken china distress ink to ink the background and then added some clouds, a spooky tree, some bats and a moon to the background. I then created the sliding mechanism following the directions from a Jennifer McGuire video. This time my little ghost is carrying a treat bag full of candy. I decided to make him a hidden slider by placing some green cardstock in front of the sliding mechanism to hide it. I then added the cat and some pumpkins to the scene. The hey boo was placed on the lower right side so that when you pulled the tab it read "Happy Halloween". This is probably my favorite card of the three.
For this third card, I started again with an A2 card base. I then cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller to which I used Distress inks to ink the night sky. I then created a hillside effect using some dark green cardstock. The rest if the scene was created using the Haunted House die set from this collection. Finally I cut the word Spooky from another die set and attached it to the front.
I hope you like these three examples. Like I said, I especially like the slider card the best. I love interactive cards and I think this one turned out really cute! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back daily as I still have more cards to show you from the other new collections!
