Home is wherever you are

Hello all my crafty friends! The new kits of the month for September are now available  over at Spellbinders!  For the next several days, I will be showing off cards that I have made using this wonderful Card Kit of the Month.  To view all the contents of this kit just click here.  There are even more kits available with discounts when you subscribe to more than one.  Here is a link to check out how they work.

This is the 5th card that I created with this kit.  I  saw the framed sentiment and thought it would go well with a living vroom scene.  This kit delivered!  It had everything I needed.  The sofa dog bed, and chair with cat where all popped up to give the living room some dimension.  I then added the grandfather clock close behind the sofa.  The doily was gut in half and glued in place to look like an area rug.  And finally a chipboard flag sticker was added.  The background paper is from the included paper pack placed on a white card base.

Check back in the next couple of days for more cards created from this kit.  It is so jammed packed full of goodies, the cards that can be made are endless!

Hello - Phone Home card

Hello all my crafty friends! The new kits of the month for September are now available  over at Spellbinders!  For the next several days, I will be showing off cards that I have made using this wonderful Card Kit of the Month.  To view all the contents of this kit just click here.  There are even more kits available with discounts when you subscribe to more than one.  Here is a link to check out how they work

For this particular card, I decided to use the telephone die which is included in the kit.

Now granted this is an old-time phone, but it is just too cute.  I die cut the phone from black, white, and gold mirrored card stock.  I then placed it on a square of pink cardstock.  Using one of the white base cards, I added a mat of the pink and a mat of the decorative paper from the paper pack.  I then cut a rectangle of pink to place behind the gold :Hello" sticker,  I then added 3 of the gold sticker hearts.

Every item used on this card was included in the kit which is so jam packed with goodies you can create endless card designs.

If you are looking for a super packed, super great monthly card kit, I believe this is the one for you!

Good Things Grow Here - 2 Cards

Hello all my crafty friends! The new kits of the month for September are now available  over at Spellbinders!  For the next several days, I will be showing off cards that I have made using this wonderful Card Kit of the Month.  To view all the contents of this kit just click here.  There are even more kits available with discounts when you subscribe to more than one.  Here is a link to check out how they work

Since today's cards both have the same sentiment, "Good Things Grow Here", I decided to post them together.

The first card I created to look like the front of a house.  All the items used to make this card were from the kit, except the scalloped circle die cut.  I used a die from my stash for that.  The decorative paper was from the paper pad, the solid blue paper was also provided.  All the images (die cut) pieces and stickers were also provided.  I popped up the sentiment and the two plants beside the door with the foam pieces, also included.

For the second card, I kind of created a plant themed card.  I used the background floral paper from the included paper pack.  I then cut a square of black paper and a slightly smaller square of  cream colored  paper   and glued them as shown and popped up with the foam pieces.  I then chose plant themed pieces and a chipboard butterfly to adorn the square.

As I mentioned before, everything I used was included in the kit which is so jam packed with goodies you can create endless card designs.

If you are looking for a super packed, super great monthly card kit, I believe this is the one for you!

Spelbinders Card Kit of the Month - Sept. 21 - Cherished

Hello all my crafty friends!  Well today is September 1, and you know what that means, the new kits for September are all being released today over at Spellbinders!  For the next several days, I will be showing off cards that I have made using this wonderful Card Kit of the Month.  To view all the contents of this kit just click here.  There are even more kits available with discounts when you subscribe to more than one.  Here is a link to check out how they work

So let's get started with today's card!  You all should know by now that pink is my favorite color! So I chose to do this first card all in pink and as a gatefold card.  I simply took a sheet of white cardstock that measured 8.5 x 5.25 inches.  It was then folded at 2 1/8 inches in toward the center of the card.  I then took a piece of the decorative paper from   the paper  pad included with the kit and   cut it to fit on the front side folds.   I chose some of the paper pieces and chipboard frame to complete my image.  The pink background of the framed image was cut from the cardstock included.  The image was then attached to the background and the frame was attached on top.  This was then placed on the center front of the card, but only glued on the left side.  Right side of framed image was left unglued!!!  The other paper pieces were then added, and again only glued on the left side.  This allowed for the card to be opened as shown below:

These card kits are a spectacular value and well worth trying out.  I am sure you too will be able to create numerous cards from this kit.
