To Santa Scene Card using a Digital Image

I recently purchased a Brother Scan and Cut and let me tell you I am in LOVE!!  This machine is awesome.  Although I have had a Silhouette Cameo for several years, and still love it, this machine takes things to the next level!

I have been playing with the new machine and watching tons of instructional videos and decided to give it a small workout.  Well I purchased and downloaded this cute digital stamp from Mirtillanmente Craft Shop  and just love it.  I printed it out and cut it out using my new Scan & Cut.  Then I wanted to color it and create a card with it.  Here is the card I created.  (I will have a complete list of products used at the end of this post)

I had so much fun creating this card!  You know I love coloring, so coloring the image was a dream for me.  Then I cut it out using the Scan & Cut, but if you don't have one you can easily fussy cut it.  I must admit, the area between the glasses was not cut with the machine, that was cut manually with a craft knife.  I couldn't figure out how to do it yet with the machine LOL.

After coloring my digi stamp and cutting it out, I was then able to create a scene that I had in my head.  I had to pull together many different stamp and die sets to accomplish this, but I believe I did a pretty good job.  I was able to find some woodgrain paper to create a table top for my image and then some green plaid paper for the wall paper.  The window was cut out from white cardstock and a piece of blue wintery paper was placed behind it along with some clear acetate to give the appearance of looking outside.  I placed it on the card and then added some green curtains to go with the "wallpaper".  Finally I decided it needed a little more Christmas look to it so I stamped, colored. and die cut the wreath and then added a festive red bow and hung it on the window.  The digital image was popped up using foam squares to give it a more dimensional feel.

I hope you like this card and will check out the other digital stamps from this shop.  I have purchased several really cute ones and I am sure you will find something you like.  Digi stamps are wonderful to work with as you can resize them to any size you want and also they take up no physical storage space. They are super fun to color and easy to cut out!

Be sure to check back tomorrow as Spellbinders is releasing it's September Collections and I will be showing off some of them here.  They are super cute and I am sure you will love them!
