Three Soldiers Happy Holidays Christmas Card

I really like how this card came out.  It is kind of neat and simple, but I still think it makes a striking presentation.  I used several different company's products to create this card and some pieces from my stash.  I hope you enjoy it.  And as always, all the products used will be listed at the end of this post.

I started with an A2 card base to which I added a piece of white glitter paper of the same size as the card front.  I then found this soft blue printed cardstock from my stash and cut it with the Lattice frame from Kat Scrapiness.  This is also the same size as the card front and it was glued atop the glitter paper.

The three soldiers were cut from various colors of cardstock using the Winter Wonderland Die set from Concord & 9th.  I did one in each in three different colors.  They were then attached and evenly spaced along the bottom of the middle section of the framed piece.

For the sentiment I chose a stamp set from Simon Says called the Holiday Silhouette Stamps.   and stamped it across the top of the center section using black ink.

This completes the card.  I love the solders in the die set as you can make them several different ways, there are different hats, you can make them different colors, etc.  Also this set comes with a matching stamp set and the dies allow you to create so much more so please check it out!

Nordic Noel Bundle from Concord & 9th

Today's card features a fun and fanciful card from Concord & 9th using their new Nordic Noel Bundle.  I was gifted this set from a dear friend and as soon as I saw it I just had to make a card with it.

This first photo shows the bundle along with my card I created using it.  The bundle includes both the die set and the enamel shapes that fit into the di cut pieces.  If you do not get the enamel pieces, do not worry, the set comes with dies to cut out the flower, leaves, and dots also.

To begin this card I started with an A2 card base to which I added some reddish colored paper that matched some of the berries in the background paper.  This was cut slightly smaller than the front of the card to create a mat.  I then cut a slightly smaller piece of the printed paper from my stash to create the background.

The NOEL was cut from white cardstock and the shadow was cut from the same reddish paper as the mat.  I attached these pieces to each other and then to the card.  I then added the matching enamel shapes into the matching spaces on the die cut. and that was it!  Easy Peasy!  A simple quick Christmas card!  You could of course choose any color combinations, and add different enamel shapes or cut from colored cardstock.  Here is a photo of the finished card:

I hope you like this card!  If you are looking for quick and easy Christmas cards, this one is for you!  I have listed all the products used below.

Kat Scrappiness Witches Brew Shaker Card

Today I have a fun Halloween card for you made from a  Witches Brew Die Set.  If you don't like scary, this is the die set for you!  It is  part of their new release for Halloween & Thanksgiving.  It is a fun, whimsical set that can be used either as a shaker card or not, depending on what you are going for.  I decided to make mine into a shaker card.

I made this into an A2 card and using the die set added elements from my stash to create this fun card!  I think you will fall in love with this set too.  There are several different options for the witches stockings which makes it more delightful.  You can use the cauldron solid or as I did, make it a shaker card.  Also, you can cut the polka dots from the stockings and use them for bubbles coming from the cauldron.  There are many options, just use your imagination.

Please check out all of the newly released  products from Kat Scrappiness!  I am sure you will find something you love!

More of Kat Scrappiness New Release!

Today I am featuring two new cards from the new Kat Scrappiness Halloween and Thanksgiving Release.  These two cards are more fall/thanksgiving themed.

These cards were super fun to create!  The first one started out with an A2 base card to which I added some of the Gobble Gobble Paper in opposite colors and cut out an arch.  I used the tree from the Crafters Essential Halloween Dies for the tree branches that fill the top portion of the arch.  The turkey and leaves were stamped, colored and die cut using the Gobble Gobble Stamp and the Gobble Gobble Die set.  The sentiment also came from that set and then I added a ribbon bow to the front.

For the second card I wanted to create more of a fall scene. I also started with and A2 card base.  I used the Gobble Gobble paper pad as the mat.  I then inked a piece of white cardstock to create a sky and some grass,  It was the added to the printed paper.  I cut out the tree from the Crafters Essential Fall Die set for the tree and then I used the Crafters Essentials Halloween Dies to cut the fence.  The rest of the leaves, turkey, and pumpkins were stamped and cut using the gobble gobble stamp and gobble gobble die set.  I then colored them all with my copic markers.  The sentiment was cut using Happy Fall Words from orange cardstock and attached to the front of the card.

I hope you like both of these cards and that you will check out all of the fun products over at Kat Scrappiness!  There sure is a lot to choose from.  I am sure you will find something you like!

Adorable Snowman Holiday Card

Today I am showing off this adorable Holiday card using a fun digital stamp stamp from Rachelle Ann Miller.  She is a wonderful artist from Australia and if you haven't checked out her stamps yet, you are in for a real treat.  You can visit her site by clicking the affiliate link to the right of this post.  As always I will have a complete list of products used at the end of this post.

I started out creating this card by using an A2 cardbase.  To it I added a mat of light blue swirled printed paper from my stash which was slightly smaller than the card size so that it created a white frame around the paper.  I then jut some white on white snowflake patterned paper also from my stash to the bottom of the card to create the snow.

I used this adorable digital stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller entitled "Bunny and Guinea Snowman Digital Stamp"  I imported to my Silhouette Cameo software and sized it to fit onto my card.  Then I printed it out unto X-press It Blending cardstock so that I could color it using my copic markers.

Once done, I then cut out the design using my new Scan n Cut machine.  But if you don't have one, you can certainly fussy cut the image.  I found some pretty Holographic tree stickers in my stash which I placed onto the background and then popped up my image using foam squares.

The only thing left was the sentiment.  I found the perfect one from the Spellbinders Christmas Time Sentiments stamp set and stamped it directly onto the card using Versa Fine Claire Nocturne ink.

I LOVE how this card turned out.  I love to color so the digital stamp was super fun and I love how the holographic tree stickers added some glimmer and shine to the background.  I hope you like it to and won't hesitate to check out all of Rachelle's digital stamps!  She has so many fun adorable stamps it is hard to choose!

Merry Christmas Card - Holly Flourish - Christmas Flourish Collection

This is the last card from this collection from Spellbinders   It is featuring the Holly Flourish Embossing Folder from the Christmas Flourish Collection by Becca Feeken.  I also used other Spellbinders products to create this card.  As always, all the products are listed at the end of this post.

To create this card I started with an A2 card base.  I then cut a mat of green cardstock which was cut slightly smaller than the card so that I had a white border around it.  I then embossed a piece of white cardstock using the Holly Flourish Embossing Folder.  Then I used the Stylish Merry Christmas Die set to create the large sentiment in the center.  I used brushed gold and red cardstocks and popped the sentiment on the front center of the card using foam squares. .

I then felt the card needed something else so I added some holly using the Mini Slimline Frame Dies.  The background was done using mirror gold cardstock and the berries from red and the leaves from green.  They were then attached to the card front as shown.

I am sorry that my photo doesn't show the embossed piece very well.  It is truly a very pretty folder that I am sure you will want to have in your stash! I have taken a photo from the web site so you can see the detail more clearly.

JOY Flourish Doily Square Christmas Card - Spellbinders Christmas Flourish Collection

Today I am featuring a bright, sparkly Christmas card using the newly released Spellbinders JOY Flourish Doily die set from the Christmas Flourish Collection.  I have combined plain cardstock, glittered cardstock, and mirrored gold cardstock to give this card lots of pretty sparkle!  As always all the products used will be listed at the end of this post.

I started with a 5.5 inch square white base card.  I then added a mat of green cardstock slightly smaller so that it would leave a white border around the outside of the card.  Next I found some pretty red and white stripped glitter paper in my stash that made a perfect background piece.  It was cut slightly smaller than the green piece so that it had a green border around it.

Next, I cut the solid die cut piece from solid red and then the inside decorative piece from white glitter paper.  It was then glued together as shown.  The JOY was cut from both mirrored gold and green cardstock and layered to make it look as though it had a gold shadow.  I then added some green holly leaves and red berries.  The berries were placed on a mirrored gold outline piece and glued to the top of the motif.

I then cut four of the curls out of the mirror gold and placed one in each corner as shown and attached a red enamel drop from my stash to each one as shown.

I hope you like this card and that it inspires you to create some of your own.  This is a beautiful collection and this particular die set is no exception.

Noel Mini Slimeline Frame from the Christmas Flouish by Becca Feeken Collection

This is my two card examples using the New Noel Mini Slimline Frame from Spellbinders Christmas Flourish Collection.  I love this set and the beautiful cards that can be made with it.  I show you how to make a mini slimline card along with a normal A2 card.  I hope you like them and will try them out for yourself!  As always all the products used are listed and linked below.

For the first card, I decided to do a mini slimline card in traditional Christmas colors.  I used a base card that measures 6 x 3.5 inches.  I then added a mat of green cardstock slightly smaller to give a white border around the edges.  This was then adhered to the front of the card.  I then cut two of the center pieces using both red and white cardstock and glued the white piece with the holes on top of the solid red so that the red showed thru the holes.  This was then adhered to the card.  Next I cut the middle section  from decorative paper that I had in my stash.  You could use anything you have.  I cut two of the poinsettias from a darker red and red and green and glued them together as shown.  They were then adhered to either side of the plaid panel.

Finally I cut the word Noel from white cardstock and one of the decorative swirls also from white.  They were both adhered to the center most piece and I called it finished!  I really am not a fan of slimline cards, however I do like the mini slimlines.  I hope you like it too.  It is a very clean and neat looking finished product.  Here is the finished card.

The second card was inspired by the decorative paper I had in my stash.  It had holly leaves all over it and the leaves of the holly was trimmed in gold.  So because of that I started with an A2 card base and then added a mat of red cardstock slightly smaller so that the white border was showing.  To that I added a mat of mirrored gold cardstock  On top of that I cut a background piece of the printed paper.  It was also an inspiration for my color scheme for the card.  So next I cut a piece from red cardstock using the center-most die and then cut the holly from mirrored gold, red, and green,  After glued together, They resembled the background paper which I really liked.  Then I glued them to opposite corners of the red center piece.

The sentiment and the swirls were also cut from mirror gold and the swirls were attached to the other two corners and the noel was attached at the center.  I then used a white gel pen to add highlights to my berries.  Here is the finished card.

This card was a little hard to photograph with all the mirrored gold on it but believe me it is beautiful! I hope you like it too!  Be sure to check back tomorrow when I will have another example from this fabulous collection!

Let it Snow 5x7 Card From Christmas Flourish By Becca Feeken Collection

Becca Feeken is an amazing designer for Spellbinders.  She has come out with a new collection that is so beautiful and unique you will definitely want to check it out.  It is called Christmas Fourish Collection.  Today I am featuring one product from that collection which is the Let it Snowman A2 card front, however I decided to use it on a 5 x 7 card.  Here is my example and as always al products used are listed at the end of this blog.

To create this card I started out with an A7 sized white cardbase.  To this I added several layers of cardstock, first one was mirrored silver, the second was a soft blue and the third was a blue striped paper that I had in my stash.  All three were added to the card front.  I then cut out and creaded the frame and snowman scene as shown in the photo.  The snow, snowman, and snow flakes were all created with white glitter paper.

These were then arranged and attached to the front of the card. I cut the sentiment banner with the "Let it snow"  sentiment from the Mirror Silver cardstock attaching a piece of of the dark blue cardstock behind it to show off the letters.  Both the snowman and the sentiment were popped up using foam squares.

I hope you like this card.  The actual card cutout will fit on an A2 card front so you can create either size cards.  I hope you will take the time to check out this beautiful collection.  Stay tuned tomorrow as I will be adding more posts from this beautiful collection!

Day Two - Spellbinder's New Release - Winter Tales Collection

Today I am featuring my projects from the new Winter Tales Collection from Spellbinders!  These beautiful Christmas Die sets are well worth checking out!  As always all the items used will be listed at the end of this post.

I just love the neat clean look of these cards and hope you do too!  For the first card I decided to use an A2 base card with a red mat around the cartd.  For the background I chose some green and white paper cut on the diagonal and leaving an approx. 1/8" around each side as a border, I attached them to the front of the card with the white portion at the top right of the card.  Next I stamped this Christmas Sentiment with clear pigment ink and gold embossing powder.

For the ornament, I used the new Nordic Ornaments Die Set from this new collection.  The background was cut from brushed gold cardstock and the front of the ornament was was cut from red.  I then pieced a green and white piece into the matching sections on the front of the ornament.  The topper was cut from brushed silver and the ornament was hung and ties with gold twine.  I love how clean and neat this card turned out!

The second card was created using a cream colored A2 base card.  I then added a mat of green cardstock leaving a cream border around the outside of the card.  Then cut a strip of cream paper that was embossed with the Holiday Holiday Flourish embossing folder to place across the top of the card.  Three different squares were cut using red, blue, and brushed gold cardstock.  Then smaller squares were cut of the same colors, but placed on different larger squares.  These were then popped up and adorned with different flowers from this set.  Finally a s was chosen and heat embossed across the bottom of the card with gold embossing powder.

Finally for the last card, I started again with a white A2 Base card.  Then added a mat of red cardstock and a background piece of gold polkadot paper.  To this I added one of the Nordic Ornament Dies and decorated it the same as I did for the first card.  The only difference is that I added a red twine bow instead of gold to this ornament.  The I cut out the bird from green cardstock and adorned him with yellow, red, and white so that he matched the color scheme  of this card.  Then I cut the word "JOY from the Joy Flourish Doily set from brushed gold and attached it to the top front of the card.  The bird is popped us using foam squares and is perched on the side of the ornament.

To be honest, at first, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this set, but after creating with it I love it.  It creates such beautiful cards!  I hope you will check out this collection too!  I am sure there is something you will truly love and can't live without!  The birds and the flowers from these sets can be used for other occasions as well which gives you more bang for your buck!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow when I will have more examples from this wonderful Spellbinders September release.

Holiday Cheer Enclosed - New Collection from Spellbinders

Well as promised, today is the 14h of the month and that means new releases from Spellbinders.  Today I am featuring the Holiday Cheer Enclosed Collection with two adorable cards that I created.  I think that every dog lover will find this collection a must have!  (As always the complete list of supplies are listed at the end of this post.)  Here are my two creations:

The first card was created using the Christmas Pups stamp set and the Santa Paws Sentiments set from this collection.  I started off by using an A2 base card.  I then added a dark green mat and a striped background piece using some printed paper from my stash.  I then created 3D box using the surprise box die set and stamped it with black ink using the Santa paw sentiment stamp set.  It was then inked using Vintage Photo Distress ink and assembled and placed on the card.

I then stamped and fussy cut two of the dogs from the set and colored them with copic markers.  The larger dog was popped up using foam squares and placed inside the boc.  The smaller dog was then glued onto the front of the card as shown.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink and framed with the same dark green cardstock.  It was then popped up with foam squares and added across the top of the card.  For a finishing touch, I added some glittery heard embellishments to further dress up the card.

For the second card, I also started with an A2 base card.  To this I added some pretty red printed cardstock as the background.  I then popped up a piece of white cardstock to which I stamped three of the dogs and colored them with my copic markers.  This piece was then cut out using the Fluted Classic Rectangle dies.  I then decided it needed something else so I cut out and attached the More Holiday Decoration dies light string and hung it across the top of the card.  I chose this cute sentiment from the Santa Paws Sentiments also from this new collection.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and   love this new collection as much as I do!  Please check the supply list below for all the products used.  There are several more items in this collection that I am sure you will also want to check out.  Be sure to stop back tomorrow when I will have another new collection to show you!

To Santa Scene Card using a Digital Image

I recently purchased a Brother Scan and Cut and let me tell you I am in LOVE!!  This machine is awesome.  Although I have had a Silhouette Cameo for several years, and still love it, this machine takes things to the next level!

I have been playing with the new machine and watching tons of instructional videos and decided to give it a small workout.  Well I purchased and downloaded this cute digital stamp from Mirtillanmente Craft Shop  and just love it.  I printed it out and cut it out using my new Scan & Cut.  Then I wanted to color it and create a card with it.  Here is the card I created.  (I will have a complete list of products used at the end of this post)

I had so much fun creating this card!  You know I love coloring, so coloring the image was a dream for me.  Then I cut it out using the Scan & Cut, but if you don't have one you can easily fussy cut it.  I must admit, the area between the glasses was not cut with the machine, that was cut manually with a craft knife.  I couldn't figure out how to do it yet with the machine LOL.

After coloring my digi stamp and cutting it out, I was then able to create a scene that I had in my head.  I had to pull together many different stamp and die sets to accomplish this, but I believe I did a pretty good job.  I was able to find some woodgrain paper to create a table top for my image and then some green plaid paper for the wall paper.  The window was cut out from white cardstock and a piece of blue wintery paper was placed behind it along with some clear acetate to give the appearance of looking outside.  I placed it on the card and then added some green curtains to go with the "wallpaper".  Finally I decided it needed a little more Christmas look to it so I stamped, colored. and die cut the wreath and then added a festive red bow and hung it on the window.  The digital image was popped up using foam squares to give it a more dimensional feel.

I hope you like this card and will check out the other digital stamps from this shop.  I have purchased several really cute ones and I am sure you will find something you like.  Digi stamps are wonderful to work with as you can resize them to any size you want and also they take up no physical storage space. They are super fun to color and easy to cut out!

Be sure to check back tomorrow as Spellbinders is releasing it's September Collections and I will be showing off some of them here.  They are super cute and I am sure you will love them!

If  you click on SOME of the links in the blog or purchase from any of the vendors on the right side of each post,  please use my link (just click on the image for the store you want to use).  It will not affect your purchase in any way, but will provide me with a very small compensation for your order.  Some are affiliate links, some are not.  This is what helps me to be able to purchase new products to share with you!  Thank you!  It is very much appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month for September 2022 - Sew Happy

Here is the last of the Club Kits from Spellbinders that I will be sharing with you this month .  This one is the Card Kit of the Month Entitled "Sew Happy"  As the title says, this kit is full of crafty sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery die cuts and stickers.  Perfect cards to make for all your crafty friends.  This kit is jam packed with tons of items to create loads of cards.  I have made seven which will hopefully inspire you to create some too!

If you would like to learn more about all the Spellbinder monthly kits, click here.  Also as a club member you will receive discounts throughout the store for as long as you are a member.   There are also add ons to each kit so if you like, you can add on to your kit to make even more cards!

Here are the cards that I made using this fabulous kit.

All of these cards were created using only the items from the kit except the items listed below.  On the shaker card I used some acetate and sequins from my stash.  I still have enough items left to continue making more cards.  This is really a worthwhile kit to purchase.

Spellbinders releases a new Kit of the Month every month with a new theme.  Each kit contains, stickers, die cuts, dies, stamps, paper, envelopes, card bases, chipboard pieces, sticky tape and foam to create as many cards as you would like.  Check them out and if you decide to purchase a subscription, please use my link on the right side of this page to take you directly to Spellbinders using my affiliate link.  It would be so very appreciated!

Be sure to check back often as I will be adding new projects all the time.  Also please check out my facebook page for live videos on cards that I am making.
