Journey Sketch Challenge #48

I recently came upon a Facebook Group Page entitled Journey Sketches and decided to start participating.  I thought it would be a great way to inspire me to create some fun and different cards.  I am a little late to the game, starting at challenge #48, but better late than never, I say!

This was the sketch:

And here is what a created:

It was such a fun and easy card to make.  All the products used are from Fun Stampers Journey and for a limited time, can be purchased on my website (website will be changing November 1, 2018)

I started with some typical Halloween colors, but making the base card from Black Licorice.  I took this pretty orange stripe from the Fall-oween paper pack.  Using the Frame it Die set (which is a $150 host exclusive) I die cut a Whip Cream stitched panel.  I then added the spiderweb using Black Licorice ink and the Strange Beauty stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set in Tangerine Fusion.

I added the spider and the black sparkle drops from the Spooky Eve Stickers and then finished it off with a Rock Candy Organza bow.

This cute and simple card took no time at all the create and was really fun to do.  I hope you will give it a try.

Everyone is welcome to join the challenge at https://www.facebook.com/groups/journeysketches .  I would love to see what you come up with!

Lovely Floral Birthday Card

I just love the soft, pretty colors I used to create this card.  It was so much fun and all the products used were from Fun Stampers Journey.  They can be purchased from my website until Nov. 1, 2018.  Then Spellbinders and FSJ will merge and there will be another website that carries products from both manufacturers. (more on that in a future post - Stay Tuned!)

I used a whip cream base card for this project.  I then added a layer of  Cool Pool card stock leaving a border of the Whip Cream showing around the edges.  The next piece cut was the polka dot paper from the Cozy Prints paper pack.  It measures 4 inches x 2.75 inches.  Before attaching to the front of the card, I die cut two of the looped border pieces from Whip Cream card stock using the Border Essentials Die Set.  They were then glued to the top and bottom of the polka dot paper and attached to the front of the card.

I stamped the image from the Handpicked for You stamp set using Black Licorice ink.  This is such a beautiful stamp set!  I colored the image using the Color Burst colored pencils and cut it out to be 2 1/2 x 3 1/8 inches.  I then matted it on a slightly larger size piece of Cool Pool and then an even larger piece of Bubble Gum card stock.  It was attached to the card, slightly above center.

The sentiment I chose was from the Dance Life stamp set.  I thought the font when well with the image I chose.  It was stamped onto Whip Cream card stock using Black Licorice ink and attached below the image.

The final touch was to add three of the Party Burst Dots in the Cool Pool color.  I think that they set off the image nicely.

I LOVE this color combination and how the card turned out.  You all know by now that I love pink and the addiction of the cool pool really made this card pop.  I hope you too, will give it a try for yourself.  I am sure you know someone who would love to receive this lovely card.

Please be sure to subscribe to this blog and my mailing list.  I will be posting lots of information and promotions regarding the merging of Spellbinders and FSJ that you won't want to miss!  Tell all your crafty friends too!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty kinda day!

A Flowery Thank You Card

Well I am trying to get back into the saddle, so to speak,  and start creating cards again.  I started with this fun and simple Thank You card.  I hope you like it.

All the products used on this card are Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased from my website  until Nov. 1, 2018.  At that time, FSJ will be merging with Spellbinders and I will have a link for you to be able to purchase both product lines from one website.

But back to the card,  I started with a Watermelon Fusion base card and added a mat of this cute spotted paper from the RSVP Prints pattern paper pack.    Using the Modern Frame Die set I cut the oval from Whip Cream card stock and inked the edges using the small dauber and dauber pad and Watermelon Fusion ink.

The sentiment I chose was from the Everyday Script stamp set.  I stamped it with Clear Pigment ink and then embossed using the Black Licorice Embossing Powder.  This really made the sentiment stand out.

The branches were cut using Limeade Splash and Kiwi Slice card stock.  The small flowers were created using Sweet Berry, Watermelon Fusion, and Bubblegum card stock.  They were all glued down with craft glue, except the center three flowers which were attached with small foam squares to give some depth.   As a finishing touch, I added Fashion Gold dots to the center of each flower.

I love how the black and pink goes together.  I hope you will give it a try and let me know what you think!

Please share this blog with all your crafty friends!  I would really appreciate it.  Also, you can subscribe to my newsletter where I will keep you up to date on the merger and all the great sales and promotions that you will definitely want to take advantage of.

Spellbinders and FSJ Merge

As many of you know, I have been a coach with Fun Stampers Journey for a couple years now and have loved every minute of it. However we were recently informed that FSJ will me merging with Spellbinders Paper Arts. This announcement came as a shock to me and all the other coaches of FSJ . As of right now I am staying with the merged company. You will see changes to my FB pages, this blog, instagram etc. that will reflect this event.

Starting November 1, my fsj website will be terminated. You will still be able to purchase both Spellbinders and FSJ products online. FSJ products will no longer be available thru a coach only, you can purchase them retail on their new combined website. (I will let you know what that is as soon as I find out)
The good news for you is that they will now accept international orders! shipping will be a flat $5.00 up to $75.00 and FREE for orders over $75.00, I am hoping to have an affiliate link, so that you can place your orders thru my link and I will receive a small commission on your purchases. This commission helps to fund this blog and my video tutorials. More on that later.
There are a lot of changes, so please be patient with me while it all gets worked out. I want to thank anyone who has purchased from me in the past for your patronage. You don't know what it has meant to me. Hopefully you will be able to continue to support my efforts thru the affiliate program.
I hope to continue this blog, but with even more flexibility as to what products I use. I already have lots of Spellbinder dies, that up until now, I could not feature on here, because of my being a coach with FSJ. I will still use FSJ products, as they are of superior quality and I really do love them. I hope to become even more creative with the expanded products I can use.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this time of transition.

Have a great day!
Jeanne
