Sharing Some Floral Love

Today's card features this lovely Love Block stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.  I fell in love with the stamp and then when browsing thru the Follow your Heart paper pack, I noticed that one of the papers had the exact same floral design as the stamp.  I knew right away I had to pair them together to create a card.  All the supplies used are listed below.



I knew I wanted to do something black, red, and white since that is such a striking combination.  So I started off with a Black Licorice cardstock base.  I then created a mat of the printed floral paper from the Follow your Heart paper pack.  I then stamped the image onto Whip Cream cardstock using Black Licorice ink.  I mounted it onto some Candy Apple red cardstock and cut it to form a frame around the stamped image.  I then added a paper bow using the Create a Bow mini die. and added a sparkle heart to the center of the bow.  This was the original card.  


It was pretty, but I was not feeling it.   So I pulled out my copic markers and decided to color the flowers on the stamped image.  



What a difference!  That center panel just popped and drew the eye right to it.  

That was just what the Dr. ordered!  Now the card was perfect and I loved it!  I hope you like it too!

Teacup full of Thanks

Today I am posting a Thank You Card.  I don't know why, but I have been drawn to tea cup stamps and dies lately.   I have purchased several from different companies and today I decided to feature this pretty set from WPlus9.


I had not heard of this company before but came across this stamp  and die set and just knew I had to have it.  I have been really attracted to teacups lately, I don't know why, but this one really caught my  eye.  

I started with a Lavender Fusion card stock base and added the eyelet oval in Whip Cream cut with Heartfelt Creations Eyelet Oval die.   I stamped the images and sentiment onto Whip Cream card stock using Black Licorice ink.  The images were then colored using my copic markers and die cut using the coordinating dies.  The same for the sentiment.  Both the sentiment and the flowers in the cup were popped up with foam squares. As a final touch I added flat back pearls to the oval.

Love and Little Houses

When Fun Stampers Journey added their new colors, I totally fell in love with Chambray Shirt.  It is such a lovely shade of blue.  I decided to use it to create this fun little card. All the supplies used are listed below.


I started with a Chambray Shirt card base.  Then added a mat of this perfectly matched stripe from the Good Life Prints paper pack.  I then centered another piece of the Chambray Shirt card stock cut from the Film Frame Die set.

I used the rectangle die from the same die set and cut a piece of Whip Cream card stock.  I then stamped the image onto the die cut using Black Licorice ink.  It was colored using Color Burst colored pencils, or any color medium of your choice.



After coloring, I added foam squares to the back of the rectangle to pop it up onto the film frame square.  The sentiment was stamped onto Whip Cream card stock and cut into a rectangle.  I cut a piece of Chambray Shirt to form a frame and popped it up in the lower right corner. 

As a finishing touch, I added three of the Cottage Pearls for an embellishment.



I love the simple look and colors of this card.  I hope you like it too.
