Today is day 2 of the new club kits from Spellbinders for September of 2024. I will be featuring the Stitching Die of the Month entitled Stitched Snowflower today. It will create a beautiful card.
This card turned out so beautiful! I started with an A2 white cardbase to which I added some black cardstock which was cut slightly smaller than the card itself to create a framed look. Next I cut some decorative striped paper in black and white which was cut slightly smaller than the black cardstock to add another framed look.
The flower was cut from two shades of yellow cardstock, a darker shade for the background petals and a lighter shade for the front petals. The centers were first cut with black cardstock and the top center was cut from dark brown. All the pieces were hen stitched as shown using matching embroidery thread. I also did the leaves and stem in green.
As a final touch, I added some black enamel gems and the sentiment, also done in black and white from the same set.
