Hi! Today I am showing off the Embossing Folder of the Month for Jan 2024 from Spellbinders. This is the third of 4 different clubs I will be showing you. This card was so simple and quick to make. It could easily be a masculine card or a card for any occasion!
To create this card, I started with some pretty plaid paper from my stash. I chose the main color in the plaid and used it as my base and main color. I started with an A2 size card base, to which I added a mat of both the solid color and plaid cardstock. I then cut a piece of the solid color and inked the embossing folder with twisted citron, which matched my cardstock closely. I then embossed it and added it to the front of my card using foam squares.
For the sentiment I hot foiled the word Hello from the Be Bold glimmer sentiments set using darker green foil. It was then cut out and popped up onto the front of the card using foam squares. As a finishing touch, I added some green enamel dots from my stash.
As I said this was a very simple and quick card for anyone who needs a card in a hurry or just doesn't want to fuss. It could be for any occasion, by simply changing out the sentiment and of course, you can do any color combination you would like. I chose green because of the leaves in the embossing folder. It would also be a great masculine card which we all seem to struggle with.
