Spellbinders Inspired Basics Collection

Happy Friday Everyone! If you love to decorate you cards and packages this collection is for you! Today I am featuring two projects from the Spellbinders New Release - Inspired Basics Collection.

I decided to make birthday cards since that is the most requested card type I get. I will list all the supplies used for each card at the end of this post.

This first card features two of the dies from this newly released collection. To create the card, I started with an A2 base card, Then I cut a piece of soft green paper the same size as the front of the card. The paper was cut along the bottom using the Create a Slimline Border dies to create a decorative edge. I added some matching ribbon from my stash across the top of the border. The the bow was cut from the new Create a Flutter and Flower Bow die set and attached to the ribbon as shown.

For the sentiment I first used Yana's Layered Script Sentiments Dies for the word Birthday and foiled the word wishes using the Splatter Sentiments Foil Plate and Moon Dust Foil. The gems were added as a final touch also from my stash.

For this second card, I also started with a white A2 card base. I then matted some pink paper and pink and blue printed paper from my stash. These were both adhered to the front of the card.

Next, I cut a tag from matching blue paper using the newly released Create a Decorative Tag. The first time in white cardstock (just a plain tag) Then again from blue paper using the decorative borders as shown. I then glued the white tag underneath the blue one so that the cut borders showed. To the top of the tag, I added a bow using the Create a Flutter & Flower Bow die set. It was then attached to the top of the tag. I decorated the tag using the Mini Blooms and Sprigs die set and arranged the flowers as shown. Finally I stamped the sentiment using black ink and the CSOM-MAY21 - Borders and Sentiments.
