Spring Into Glimmer Collection from Spellbinders Day 2

As you might know, the 14th of every month Spellbinders releases it's new collections.  I will be featuring some of those collections in the next few days.  Today, I will be showing off the new Spring into Glimmer Collection with the second of  3 projects I have created using some of the dies and glimmer plates from that collection.  Today's card is:

I started this card with an A2 size white base card.  To it I added some designer paper from my stash the same size as the front of the card, cutting it out with my paper trimmer.  Next I die cut two pieces from the With Love Regalia Card Builder die set, the solid shape in dark brown, and the filigree shape using craft cardstock.    It was cut using my Platinum 6 die cutting machine. They were glued together using Bearly Art Liquid Glue and I placed a coordinating ribbon around the center of the piece.  It was then adhered to the front of the card using the liquid glue.  Next, I cut out several leaves and greenery using the Glimmer Edge Flower set  and adhered them to the open section of the filigree piece using the liquid glue.  Using the dies only  from the same set, I cut out several flowers, formed them, and glued them to the front of the card as shown.  I then added fashion gold embellishments to the center of each flower.

Then using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and Gold foil, I created a butterfly from the Glimmer Edge Butterfly set.  The body was cut from black cardstock.  The body was then glued to the butterfly and the butterfly was glued to the front of the card as shown.  Using the same gold foil, I glimmered the sentiment using the Be Bold Glimmer Set, cut it out with the coordinating dies, and popped it up on the front of the card with foam squares.  As a final touch, I added a bow to the ribbon and attached it with glue dots.

Here is another photo of the finished card:

I don't normally make cards with this particular color scheme, however I came across this background paper and really wanted to use it.  I think it worked out great with the other colors I chose.  What do you think?
