Day Six - Last day of monthly clubs- EOM -DEC 24

Today I am sharing the last of my monthly club projects.  It was made using the Embossing folder of the Month for Dec 2024 entitled Heart Swag.   Spellbinders has a lot more clubs available, however I just feature six of them.

To  create this card, I started with an A2 white card base.  Then I added a piece of dark pink cardstock that was embossed with the Heart Swag embossing folder.  The piece  of cardstock was then cut to measure 5.25 x 4 inches and attached to the front of the cardbase, centered.  I used a sentiment from the Clear Stamp and Die of the month for Dec. 2024.  It was stamped in black and cut out of white cardstock using the Essential Stylish Ovals dies.  I also cut one larger out of red cardstock.   They were then glued together and popped up in the center of the card front using foam squares.

I had some crystal hearts from my stash which I added to the hearts on the embossing folder to finish off the card.  If you would like to see all the monthly clubs Spellbinders has to offer, simply click here.

Day Five -Glimmer Plate of the Month - Friendship is everything!

Today I am featuring not one, but two cards using the glimmer hot foil kit of the month for Dec. 2024 entitled Friendship is everything.  This is a beautiful plate and matching foil which comes in the kit.  On one card I colored using copic markers and  I used the negative of the foil to make the other card.  Both are the same design, but look entirely different!

The first card I made was the pink one.  I started by using my hot foil  system to hot foil the image onto white cardstock.  It was then colored with my copic markers.  Then I took an A2 white base card and added a piece of printed pink cardstock to the front which measured 5.25 x 4.0 inches and centered it onto the card.  next I used the included die and cut out the one side of the design and cut the other side and top with my paper trimmer to fit the card.  Next I also used the enclosed sentiment Forever Yours, which was also glimmered using the foil that came with the kit and attached it to the front of the card.

The second card would be a great masculine card.  I also used an A2 card base and added a piece of navy printed cardstock with gold details.  I the carefully laid the piece of gold foil over a piece of white cardstock.  The gold foil that was left from the first card was then glued down using adhesive tape runner.   DO NOT USE LIQUID GLUE!!! Liquide glue removes the gold from the foiled paper!  I then used the outline die and ran the white cardstock glued to the gold foil through my die cutting machine.  It was then attached to the front of the card same as the other and I used the same sentiment with the gold foil that was included and glued it to the front of the card.

Two cards that use the same layout, but look completely different.  I love the glimmer plates that I can color and the negatives also work great on some cards!

Don't forget to check back tomorrow when I will have the last club to show off.  There are more clubs available on Spellbinders web site, but I only show off 6 of them.  Simply click here to see all the clubs Spellbinders has to offer each month.

Day Four- 3D Embossing Folder of the month for December 2024 - Tiny Heart Scallop

Today, I am sharing yet another monthly club with you.  This time it is the 3EOM-DEC 24 entitled Tiny Heart Scallop. This embossing folder creates a very beautiful heavily embossed heart design.  I decided to make it super simple and added a sentiment from the CSDOM - Dec 24.  So actually you are getting two previews in one.

I started this card with an A2 base card to which I added a piece  of red cardstock that I had embossed.  The cardstock measured 5.25 x 4.0 inches and is centered on the front  of the base card.  Next I stamped the sentiment with black ink and stamped the separate I heart You stamp in Distress Ink Candied Apple.  After using the red ink, I restamped the image  using clear pigment ink.  Then I embossed the I Heart You using red powder and my heat gun.

Both were then cut out using the included dies.  The larger alphabet stamp was popped up using foam squares and then the red embossed I heart You was glued into place on the original sentiment.

This makes a very simple and easy Valentine's day card that can be both for a feminine or masculine recipient.  I hope you enjoy this.  To see all the club kits spellbinders  has to offer, simply click here.

Day Three - Die of the month for December 2024 - Blooming Hello

Today I am showing off the Die of the Month for Dec 24 entitled Blooming Hello. This set makes a beautiful card that I am sure you are going to want to make. It is part of Spellbinders monthly clubs that are available to purchase starting Dec. 6th.  Be sure to check back tomorrow when I will have another fun, monthly club kit to share with you.

I knew that when I started this card I wanted to spell out "Hello" in a straight line, so to do so I made a 5x7 white card base.  To this, I added a piece of yellow cardstock measuring 4.75 x 6.75 and centered it onto the front of my base card leaving a white border around the outside.  Next, I cut a piece of dark  teal cardstock to measure 4.5 x 6.5 and centered it on the yellow cardstock already attached to the base card.  I then cut out the letters from the same yellow cardstock and a variety  of flowers and leaves.  The small flowers and leaves were attached to the yellow "H" as shown.  I also added two larger blue flowers.

The letters were then attached across the dark teal cardstock to spell  out the word "Hello".  I used the darker pink flowers and darker green leaves to adorn the right corners of the card.  To see all the monthly clubs Spellbinders has to offer, simply click here.

Day Two - Clear Stamp and Die of the Month for December 2024

Today I am sharing with you another one of this month's Spellbinder Club Kits.  It is the clear stamp and die club called Forever Yours.  I love how this card turned out and I even  used some of the flowers from another of this months club kits which I will be sharing with you in the days to come.  Please check back tomorrow to see the next monthly club kit I will be featuring!

To create this card, I started with a white A2 card base to which I added a mat of red paper measuring 5.25 x 4.0 inches and centered it on the card front so that the red cardstock had a white border around it.   Next I used Spellbinders Essential Stylish Ovals and created a series of boarders, each one smaller than the one before  it to create a layered affect, I cut these pieces from dark and light pink, white, and red cardstock.  The sentiment from the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month which was a sentiment set, was stamped in black ink and the matching die was used to cut it out.  It was then attached to the centermost (red) oval.

Then using some of the leaves and small flowers from the Dis of the Month Club Kit, I created five separate flowers and leaves and added them as shown to add some decoration to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card and will give it a try.  I rely like the clean simple look of it.  To see all the Monthly Club kits Spellbinders has to offer, click here.

Day One - Stitching Die of the Month for December 2024

I hope you all are full of turkey and really enjoyed your Thanksgiving!  Today is December 1st and you know what that means,...  Spellbinders has released it's new monthly clubs for December 2024.  Over the next few days, I will be showing off some of the clubs that will be available for purchase as of Dec. 6th.  This is my first one

I really love this card!  Of course you all know I love pink.  This is the Stitched Die of the Month for December 2024.  It is called Stitched Notched Corner Card

To see all of the clubs spellbinders has to offer this month simply click here.

To make this card I started with a white A2 card base to which I added a mat of dark pink cardstock which measures 4 x 5.25 and was centered onto the white base card.  I then die cut the next two pieces using the STDOM.  The larger background die was cut from white cardstock and the top piece (to be stitched) was cut from light pink cardstock.  It was then stitched using a somewhat dark pink thread.  I used all 6 strands for this procedure.  Once I was done stitching this piece I attached both it and the white piece onto the center of the dark pink cardstock already on the card.  Because of the stitching of the back of the light pink piece it almost appears to be popped up but it isn't.

Next I cut the flower and leaf piece using green cardstock.  The I cut the flowers from solid dark pink and then the stitched pieces from the same color.  The flowers were then stitched with three strands of light pink thread. They were then attached to the leaves and glued to the bottom of the oval.

Finally I cut out the letters from the dark pink cardstock and glued them in the center of the oval as shown.  As I said, I really like how this card turned out and it was relatively easy to make.  You could easily stamp a different sentiment in the oval and make this card for another occasion.  If you like to stitch on cards you will certainly love this club kit!

Day Three of New Projects Featuring the Felt Die Collection by Nicole Spohr

Today I have something really different to show you.  I created an ornament for my fall tree.  Yes, I said fall tree.  My husband convinced me to leave our tree up all year and just decorate it for each holiday/season.  So as I said, I have a fall tree.  I used the new Felt Die Collection from Nicole Spohr by Spellbinders to create this fun ornament for my tree.  It is called the Felt Pumpkin Lane House Die.  I will definitely be making more to adorn my tree.

I thought I would also show you a picture of my tree, too.

I just started to learn to quilt, and made the tree skirt and mantle cloth also.  Here is a photo of the ornament on the tree.

To create this ornament I used mostly felt from the Merino Felt Sheets cool collection, except for the orange.  I cut out each shape from felt and also from cardstock.  I  stitched each piece to the cardstock to give the ornament more stability.  I stitched each piece with matching or coordinating thread which I had in my stash.  If you wanted to hide your stitching on the back, you could add another sheet  of paper or more felt.  I used hot glue to assemble the pieces together and also used hot glue to add a piece of gold twine for hanging.

I think this would also make a great fall card.  You could attach it to the card in a way that it could be removed and used as an ornament.  This was the recipient would get a card and a gift!

To see all of this new collection from Spellbinders and Nicole Spohr, simply click here. I hope you enjoyed these three products and will give them a look for yourself.  There are many in the collection, though I only featured three of them.  They also have the wool felt available since you can't find it in local craft stores.

Second of Three New Projects Featuring the Felt Die Collection by Nicole Spohr

Today I am featuring a project I created using the new felt dies from Nicole Spohr for Spellbinders.  This time I am  using the candy cane die.  I also used them with both felt and cardstock to give them a more textured look.  The second candy cane was cut and I used the back side inverted so that I had two candy canes that cross. Here is the card I made.

To make this card, I started with a 5x7 white base card to which I added a mat of red cardstock measuring 4.75 x 6.75 this was then centered and applied to the card front.  I then cut this pretty printed paper to measure 4.5 x 6.5 inches and applied that centered on the red cardstock.  Next I cut two candy canes from white cardstock.  The second one was inverted so that I used the back side.  Once it was stitched you couldn't tell it was reversed.  I cut the red stripes from red felt that I had in my stash along with the berries.  I stitched the white areas of the candy canes with white embroidery thread.  The stripes were then added after being stitched with red embroidery thread.  The three holly leaves were cut from the green felt that was included in the Merino Felt sheets cool collection and were stitched with green thread.  They were all arranged and attached to the card front with glue.  I added the sentiment using my hot foil machine and the Comfort and Joy foil plate and die set.  It was foiled with gold foil and added across the bottom of the card.

I love how this card turned out.  I also love the texture that the felt added.  It really adds to the look  of the card!  I hope you will give some of these dies a chance!  Like I said, if you do not like the look or want to deal with the felt you can always just use paper and treat them as a stitching die.  To see the entire collection  of felt dies, just click here.

Be sure to check back tomorrow when I will have the last of my three projects for this collection.  I am sure you don't want to miss it!

First of Three New Project Featuring the Felt Die Collection by Nicole Spohr

Spellbinder's has released some new dies especially for cutting 100% wool felt.  They also feature colors of felt which can be purchased to go along with these new dies,  But don't worry you can still use them to cut paper too!  Today's project features a cute 5 x 7 inch Christmas card featuring the new Felt Gingerbread Boy and Girl Etched Die set.  This is the card that I created using the new dies:

To create this card, I started with a 5x7 white card base to which I added a mat of dark green card stock which measured 4.75 x 6.76" and attached it to the center of the base card.  Next I added a pretty green and red printed Christmas paper which measured 4.5 x 6.5 inches and centered it atop the green cardstock.  Lastly, I found this cute gingerbread printed paper and cut a strip that measured 2 x 6.5 inches and attached it to the left side of the card as shown.  I then cut the gingerbread from tan cardstock and inked the edges with brown ink which gave him a baked look.  Next, I stitched the outside edge of the gingerbread with tan thread.  I then cut stitched the mouth with black thread.  The eyes, cheeks, button, bow tie, icing, and hat pieces were all cut from cardstock and stitched with white or red thread in the case of the red portion  of his hat.   The tree was cut from felt and outlined in green thread and then decorated with yellow thread.  The tree was then glued to the gingerbread's right hand.  Finally I added a glimmered sentiment from the Comfort and Joy glimmer plate set. They were both glued to the front of the card base to complete the card.

This card shows that the pieces can be cut from either felt or paper and mixed and matched to create some texture where needed.  To see the entire new collection, simply click here.  As you will see, there are many to choose from, as I will be only sharing three of them with you.

Be sure to check back tomorrow when I will have another awesome project to share with you!

Day Five - 3 D Embossing Folder - Unique Technique

Today I am showing off a card that I made using the Spellbinders 3d Embossing  Folder for Nov.24 entitled Rosette Burst.  I did not add a sentiment to this card thinking it could be used as a notecard, or anything else you so desire.  You could add any sentiment you like or different color combinations to give it a different appearance!

To create this special card, I simply started with an A2 card base and then added a matte of black cardstock which measured 5.25 x 4 inches.  To this I added a piece of brushed gold cardstock which measured 5 x 3.75 inches.  Finally I embossed a piece of black cardstock using the Rosette Burst 3D Embossing Folder.  The piece was then cut to 3.50 x 4.75 inches.  I then spread clear pigment ink across the entire surface and added gold embossing powder.  It was then heated with a heat gun to set the powder.

It was then attached to the cardfront and I then added some black enamel drops to the centers of each of the Rosette Burst designs.  I hope you like the end result.  I purposely left the sentiment off of this one.  I think it makes for a different, striking card.  To see all the monthly club kits Spellbinders has to offer, simply click here.

Day Four- Three Monthly Club kits, one Card!

Today I am sharing a card that features three, yes you heard right, three Spellbinders monthly club kits on one card!  I started with the embossing folder, then the die of the month and lastly the clear stamp and die of the month.  I feel that it made for a cute, colorful birthday card!  I hope you agree.

I started to create this card, by using an A2 card base.  Then I added a piece of metallic rainbow paper to create a mat measuring 5.25x 4 inches.  To this I added a piece of white cardstock that I embossed using this months EOM-NOV 24 entitled Cascading Streamers.  This was ink blended using a rainbow of ink colors.  You can use any colors of ink you have on hand and any brands to complete this step.  I the cut the cardstock to measure 3.75 x 5 inches and attached it to the metallic paper to  create a festive background.  Then I used the DOM-NOV24 entitled Birthday Bliss and cut out three colorful balloons and randomly glued them to the front of the embossed piece.  Finally I stamped and cut out the sentiment using the Clear Stamp and die of the month entitled Confetti Wishes. This was stamped in black ink and fussy cut.  Then it was popped up using foam squares across the center of the card front.

I then considered this card done!  Would make a great card for either a feminine or masculine recipient!  To see all the monthly club kits Spellbinders has to offer, simply click here

Be sure to check back tomorrow when I will be showing off the last of this month's club kits.  I only receive some of the kits so you definitely want to check them all out!  Remember, you can only sign up for a club on the sixth of the month, so be sure to mark your calendars so you don't forget!
