CYCI Challenge #145

It's that time again for another Can You Case It Color Challenge.  This weeks challenge required the use of blue, purple, white, and silver.  I chose all Fun Stampers Journey products for my card.  I started with a base card of  Deep Lilac.  Then using the Geo Burst die, I cut out the design onto Whip Cream cardstock.  I also cut another one using Beach Breeze cardstock.  Then carefully placed the blue pieces inside some of the flowers from the die.  Using a regular office punch, I cut out small circles with brushed silver.  The tag was also cut using the Tag Time punch and stamped with Deep Lilac.  I then added some Beach Breeze twine to finish off the design.

Savvy & Blog Hop - Snowflake Theme.

Hello and welcome to the first Savvy 7 Blog Hop!  This month's hop is a snowflake theme.  Here is the card I created for this hop:

This card was particularly hard to photograph.  It is so sparkly and shiny.  I started with a white card stock base.  Then added a layer of beautiful blue metallic paper that I had in my stash.  Next, I cut out three different snowflakes from white glitter paper.  The smaller center snowflakes were cut out of lighter blue holographic paper.  I added the sentiment in blue onto white card stock which was matted on a piece of the holographic paper.  I only wish you could see it in person, or that I was a better photographer.  It really is pretty.

CYCI Challenge #144

I first want to say that I hope you all had a fabulous holiday season, and that your 2017 is off to a wonderful start.  

Now that the holidays are over, it is back to business as usual.  Our can you case it challenges are back on schedule.  This week's challenge is a color challenge. 

All the products used for this card are from Fun Stampers Journey.  The papers I chose are Watermelon Fusion, Cool Pool, Whip Cream, and River Stone.  The inks I used are River Stone, Watermelon Fusion and Cool Pool.  The stamp set I chose was Beautiful Wings.

I really love this layered stamps set. I was able to use the first layer of the set to stamp a soft background using the Cool Pool ink.  Then I added the second layer to only one of the background butterflies using the Watermelon Fusion Ink.  I added the final and top layer of the butterfly and stamped the sentiment using River Stone Ink.  

I love the soft look of this card and the fact that only one of the butterflies is completed which makes it the focal point.
