CYCI Challenge # 150

This week's challenge is a color challenge using the colors, Navy, Copper, Mint, and White.  So I decided to search my stash and came up with this gorgeous rose stamp.  (I am sorry I do not know who makes it).  I colored it with prismacolor pencils.  I then took a navy base card and added a mint mat and then a smaller copper colored mat.  With the Valiant Honor Die from Spellbinders, I cut out the rose and mounted it on top of the copper paper so that it showed thru and looked like cording.  All and all I think it turned out pretty.

To see all the design team's submissions, please go to   To join in this challenge, please stop by our Can You Case It?  Challenge group page on Facebook and add your card to the challenge.  We love to see what you come up with.

Can You Case It Challenge # 149

This weeks challenge over at Can You Case It?  is a sketch challenge.  I really love sketch challenges.  It gives me a great starting point for creating my cards.

This particular card was created using all Fun Stampers Journey products.  I think it turned out great and really worked well for the sketch challenge.  I got to do some coloring on this one, which I LOVE to do.  I think it always adds so much to a card.

The items used to create this card are as follows:
cardstock:  Butter Cream, Banana Cream, River Stone and the printed paper is from our Summer Romance paper pack.
Ink:  Black Licorice
Stamp:  Wedding Bliss
Coloring done with Color Burst Pencils
Sparkle Dots
Lemon Sparkle Tape.

All of these items can be found on my website

I hope you like this card and feel inspired to join our challenge.  It is so super easy.  Just create your card and post it to our new facebook page:  and add your photo as a comment under the appropriate challenge post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Can You Case It Color Challenge #148

This week's challenge over at Can You Case It is a color challenge using the colors gray, turquoise, yellow and white.  I had a hard time coming up with something for this color scheme so headed to my stash to see what I could find.  Using the colored papers from the challenge, I then stamped this lovely floral stamp from Fun Stampers Journey onto the white oval paper using Pool Play ink which matched the paper I chose pretty closely.  I loved the cameo look that was created by placing the white oval on this spellbinder oval die.  I then added a matching satin ribbon bow and some sequins to finish it off.

I hope you like this card and that you will check out all the other wonderful design team cards.  Also, please take this opportunity to join us by taking the challenge and playing along.  You can post your creations on the FB Can You Case It? Challenge Group page.  We would love to see what you create!

Savvy 7 Blog Hop - March

This month's theme over at the Savvy 7 Blog Hop was "Lucky".  What better to match that theme than an adorable punch art leprechaun and all his lucky charms.  This card was created using all Fun Stampers Journey products except for the embossing folder used to create the background.

I hope you like this fun card  and will hop on over to all the other blogs and check out all the other wonderful creations.

Can You Case it Challenge #146

This challenge from Can You Case It  was truly a challenge for me.  I had a lot of difficulty with this color combination.  I chose the colors from my selection of Fun Stampers Journey card stock and Rich Sorbet designer papers.  I used my egg die to create the three eggs and my pocket cut dies for the teal band.  The sentiment was chosen from the Easter Wishes stamp set.  All of these products can be found on my website  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will take the challenge and join us at Can You Case It.

Savvy 7 February Blog Hop

Well here it is February and time for another blog hop.  This month's theme appropriately enough is "All you need is love".

This card was created using a lot of items I had in my stash.  The hearts were from my Spellbinder's Die of the Month club set for January.  I thought they were very appropriate for this particular theme.  The papers were part of a coordinating paper pack which made that part of the card super easy.  I used my Love die from my FSJ Snapshot Frames die set and added a pretty rosette from my stash along with some coordinating pink ribbon.

I hope you enjoy this card and will visit all the other blogs along the hop.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

CYCI Challenge #145

It's that time again for another Can You Case It Color Challenge.  This weeks challenge required the use of blue, purple, white, and silver.  I chose all Fun Stampers Journey products for my card.  I started with a base card of  Deep Lilac.  Then using the Geo Burst die, I cut out the design onto Whip Cream cardstock.  I also cut another one using Beach Breeze cardstock.  Then carefully placed the blue pieces inside some of the flowers from the die.  Using a regular office punch, I cut out small circles with brushed silver.  The tag was also cut using the Tag Time punch and stamped with Deep Lilac.  I then added some Beach Breeze twine to finish off the design.

I hope you like the card and that you will stop on over to and see all the wonderful design team submissions.  I hope they will inspire you to join in an add a card of your own.

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by!

Savvy & Blog Hop - Snowflake Theme.

Hello and welcome to the first Savvy 7 Blog Hop!  This month's hop is a snowflake theme.  Here is the card I created for this hop:

This card was particularly hard to photograph.  It is so sparkly and shiny.  I started with a white card stock base.  Then added a layer of beautiful blue metallic paper that I had in my stash.  Next, I cut out three different snowflakes from white glitter paper.  The smaller center snowflakes were cut out of lighter blue holographic paper.  I added the sentiment in blue onto white card stock which was matted on a piece of the holographic paper.  I only wish you could see it in person, or that I was a better photographer.  It really is pretty.

I hope you enjoyed this card and that you will hop on over and visit the other bloggers and see what they came up with for this hop and hopefully join in the fun yourself.

Thanks for stopping by!

CYCI Challenge #144

I first want to say that I hope you all had a fabulous holiday season, and that your 2017 is off to a wonderful start.

Now that the holidays are over, it is back to business as usual.  Our can you case it challenges are back on schedule.  This week's challenge is a color challenge.

All the products used for this card are from Fun Stampers Journey.  The papers I chose are Watermelon Fusion, Cool Pool, Whip Cream, and River Stone.  The inks I used are River Stone, Watermelon Fusion and Cool Pool.  The stamp set I chose was Beautiful Wings.

I really love this layered stamps set. I was able to use the first layer of the set to stamp a soft background using the Cool Pool ink.  Then I added the second layer to only one of the background butterflies using the Watermelon Fusion Ink.  I added the final and top layer of the butterfly and stamped the sentiment using River Stone Ink.

I love the soft look of this card and the fact that only one of the butterflies is completed which makes it the focal point.

I hope you will join us this week  and try your hand at our challenge.  We would love to see what you create!
