Ever Embroider a Card???

I have always wanted to sew and/or embroider on a card, however, I have never had the opportunity - until now!  Spellbinders Large Die of the Month is perfect for stitching on cards.  The set comes with a boarder, tree, and snowflake dies.  I used two of the three for my card today.

This is a really hard card to photograph.  I chose to use mirror gold paper for the background.  The tree and border were embroidered using shiny green and red floss.  It was embellished with journey gold embellishments and I chose a sentiment from  FSJ's Merry Words stamp set which I embossed with gold embossing powder.  This card really sparkles and shines.

The large die of the month club is a monthly subscription where you get a new large die set every month delivered directly to your home.  Spellbinders has many different types of subscriptions that you may want to check out.

I receive both the small and large dies of the month and just love them!  I look forward every month to seeing what will be coming next.

Here is another look at today's card.

I hope you enjoy seeing these cards and will try out a subscription yourself!

Polar Bear Shaker Card

I recently came across a new website, StampsofLife.com    They have wonderful stamps and dies and also have 3 different monthly club memberships.  I decided to join the Die Hard Club.  This membership  provides a new stamp and die set each month.  There are also Extras available (Add-Ons) that you can purchase separately to enhance your monthly stamps and dies.

Today I am featuring September's Die Hard Club kit and the extras.  I decided to create this cute shaker card.  I hope you like it.

I decided to use a frosty blue and white color scheme for this card.  All the supplies I used will be listed below.

Here is a closer look:

I wanted to create a shaker card, but thought it would be cute if the bear was in front of it.  I think it turned out perfectly as I imagined.  The stamps stamped beautifully and the dies cut perfectly.  I am very impressed with the quality of these products and the cards that can be created with them.

There are also many extra benefits to joining these clubs.  Click here to see them all.  I am sure you will find something you like.  Please know that this is my personal opinion, and I am not getting any perks for writing about these products.

Add-ons Are Awesome!!!

What's an add-on, you ask?  Well an add-on is a stamp and/or die set that is created especially to coordinate, or "add-on" to another stamp and/or die set.  Today, I am going to feature the Sunday Drive Die set and the Sunday Drive with Santa add-on.

Let's start first with the original Sunday Drive die set.   I created two different birthday cards from this set.  One more masculine and one more feminine.

The pink car is more for girls while the white car for boys.  I used the included balloons with the white car and decided to use a fishtail banner on the pink one.  I think these would be great cards for those teens that are learning to drive.  On the girl card, I coordinated all my colors with the background paper.

Now for the add-on, Sunday Drive with Santa.

Now as you can see we used the original die set for the car, but used the add-on for the greenery, lettering, Santa, and reindeer.  It adds a Christmas option for the original die set.  I had a little fun by making the reindeer drive on the red card .

Add-ons give your original dies so much versatility and so many different ways to use them.  This set also comes with three more add-ons Sunday Drive Hitched which would be perfect for wedding cards and  Sunday Sunset Drive which can be used for a lot of different occasions, and finally Sunday Drive Halloween which would make the cutest Halloween cards.

I have listed the supplies used.  If you don't have the exact paper, select one of your own and work your design around it.

I hope you will considering using add-ons with original die sets for your card creations.  I will be doing more add-on cards in the future, so stay tuned.

Happy Crafting,

Jeanne

Altenew Winter Essentials Collection

Today I am featuring a card I created using the new Altenew Winter Essentials Collection.  This is a great collection and as soon as I saw the fireplace dies, I knew I had to have it!

I wanted to create a warm inviting look to the front of the card.  I used the Altenew Modern Fireplace Layering die and scraps of different colored papers to create the fireplace.  I used foam tape to raise up sections of the fireplace and give it more dimention.

I then used the Mantel Decor-Winter Die Set to add the embellishments to the fireplace.  A striped background paper was chosen to give the look of wallpaper.  I love how this turned out.  Inside I may put a sentiment like "Wishing you a warm and cozy Holiday".

I hope you like this card and will give it a try yourself.

FSJ Buzzworthy Collection!

Today I am featuring two cards using Fun Stampers  Journey's  Buzzworthy Collection.  To view the items in this collection, click here.

I was really attracted to the beautiful flower image in the Sweet as Honey stamp set.  I love to stamp and color in images, and this was just perfect.  I stamped the flower and extra leaves and colored them with my copic markers.  I then fussy cut them out and arranged the extra leaves around the flower gluing them in place.

Using a piece of whip cream card stock, I then stamped the honeycomb image randomly onto the background using Lemon Drop ink.  The flower was then glued into the lower right corner.  I stamped the bees directly onto the background.  I really love how the colors of the flower coordinate with Rich Coral cardstock, so I used that as my base card.  The sentiment was stamped onto whip cream cardstock and framed with the Rich Coral.  It was then popped up onto the card.  As a final touch, I added three orange rainbow drops.

For the second card, I used the Block Prints Stamp set.  I think this is such a beautiful set and can be used for so many different occasions.  I used the hexagon shaped mushroom stamp for this card.  I stamped the image using black ink onto Whip Cream Cardstock.   The I used the Hexagon Die Set to cut out a perfect frame from Black Licorice Cardstock.  I glued the image to the cardstock and popped it up using foam squares.  I used a gingham black and white paper as my background, but you could use and black and white printed paper.  It was mounted onto a candy apply red cardstock and placed on a white card base.  I stamped the image in black ink and mounted it onto black licorice paper and glued it underneath the image.  As a final touch, I added Journey Silver pieces to each corner of the image, and tied a red bow using candy apple red twine.

I hope you like both of these cards and that you will check out all the products in the Buzzworthy collection.  Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
