CYCI #131 Challenge

This week's challenge over at Can You Case It is a color challenge using grays, yellows and black.  I created this card with a yellow base card followed by a black mat that was embossed using my Cuttlebug, Geometric rings embossing folder.  I don't have much grey paper, so I used what I had with my Just Rite Open Leaves Dies for the leaves and cut out my label with the two smaller dies from my Spellbinders, 5 x 7 Mystical Embrace dies.  I cut one from white and one from grey.  I then added some yellow felt flowers that I had in my stash and put a black flat backed pearl in the center of each flower.  Finally, I finished it off with a pretty white bow.

I hope you like this card.  Why not take the challenge yourself?  It is fun and easy to do.  We would love to see what you come up with.  So stop by www.canyoucaseit.com and try it out for yourself.

Precious Memories Mini Photo Album

My final album for this week is this gorgeous Precious Memories mini album.  I created this album using a tutorial by Catherine Chapdelaine as a guide.  There are tons of places to display photos and keepsakes along with places for journaling.  The book was created using the Graphic 45 Precious Moments paper collection, including the chipboard tags, journaling cards, sticker sets etc.

This album is for sale in my Ebay store.  You can view the listing here:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beautiful-Handmade-Precious-Memories-6-x-8-Interactive-Mini-Photo-Album-/172288406045

Beautiful Handmade Our Little Princess 6 x 6 Mini Album

This is another new mini album that I created.  I used a tutorial from Catherine Chapdelaine as a guide for this album along with DCWV papers called Preppy Princess.  I love how pretty and feminine this album is with all the pinks, greens, and yellow colors.  There is also a lot of glossy glittered elements on the papers too!   I hope you do to!  It is available for sale on  in my Ebay store.

You can view all the pages and features of this wonderful album by watching the following video:

Here are photos of the binding and inside pages:

A lot of time and attention to detail went into creating this album.  I think it would be a wonderful baby shower gift, or would make a very special grandma's brag book.

Mother Goose Themed Mini Photo Album

Well I finally bit the bullet and created one of these interactive mini photo albums.  I have been admiring them online for some time now.  I purchased some tutorials from Catherine Chapdelaine on how to make them.  This particular one is 6 inches tall and 8 inches across.  It features papers and embellishments from the Graphic 45 Mother Goose Collection.  I cannot tell you how time consuming this book is to make!  But, I think it turned out beautifully.  I have made a couple more in different themes/papers that I will be featuring soon.

This particular book is available for sale on Ebay.

Here is a video that will walk you thru the entire album page by page.

Here are more photos of the spine inside pages:

I hope you enjoyed seeing this album.  It was really fun, although as I said, pretty intense to make.  If you know anyone who would like to have this album, send them on over to my ebay store, (link above)!

CYCI #130 Birthday Challenge

This week's challenge over at Can You Case It is a birthday challenge.  We all need to make birthday cards at one time or another, so this is a great opportunity to show off your creativity and to have a birthday card all ready when you need one.

I chose to do a triple stamped technique for my card using two birthday balloon stamps from my stash.  I purchase a lot of my stamps at yard sales so I don't always know the brand/name of the stamps I used.  I used a larger stamp as my focal point and colored just those balloons using my Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped a smaller balloon around the background and left it uncolored.  I added the sentiment and some red sequins (all I had) and decided to cover the colored balloons with glossy accents to really make them pop.  I hope you like this card and will take the opportunity to join in the fun by taking this challenge!  Give it a go!  You've got nothing to lose.

Thanks for stopping by!

CYCI # 129 - Color Challenge

This week's challege over at Can You Case it? is a color challenge.  I really didn't know where to begin with these colors, but it always amazes me how the creative process works.  I started with a cream colored base card.  I then added mats of tan and blue.  The flowers were created using my arianna blooms stamp and die set.  I made one slightly larger and darker, the other two lighter and smaller.  The doily was also die cut from the cream paper and the tag from the tan paper.  I then stamped the sentiment and added the ribbon.  I had this small bird pin, which I removed from the pin back and added it to the tag.

I hope you like the card.  Please stop on over and take the challenge!  We would all love to see your creation!

CYCI #128 - Sketch Challenge

This week's challenge at canyoucaseit.com was a sketch challenge.  I created the card above for this challenge by trying out some new techniques.  The sketch itself is a pretty simple one, so I decided to add a little pizzazz by doing a decorative background.  I first stamped watercolor paper with the stamp of my choice using the versa mark watermark ink onto watercolor paper.  Then I embossed it with white embossing powder and painted over the entire piece with watercolors.  It created this neat resist effect.  I then cut and stamped the sentiment, added a couple embellishments and mounted it on black card stock, that was then attached to a white card base.  Here is an image of the inside of the card.

Stop on over to www.canyoucaseit.com and check out all the wonderful and creative entries by the other design team members.  Then create your own unique card and play along!
