A Basket Full of Easter Blessings.

I recently purchased some Easter dies and Stamps from Our Daily Bread designs.  I have not ordered from them in the past so this was my first time working with their products.  I thought I would share what I created using them and other dies from my stash.

I started with a 5 x 7 inch base card in light yellow from my stash.  Then using my Spellbinders Enchanted Labels 8 dies (using the largest one in the set) to cut out some spring green cardstock, also from my stash.  That was then centered and glued onto the base card.

Next I cut a piece of the white cardstock using the Creative Expressions CA Collection Decorative Frames Set B (the largest die).  This was centered and adhered to the card.

Then came the basket, The first thing I did was stamp the basket onto some smooth white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The stamp produced a beautiful, clear image on the paper.  I then colored in my basket using my Spectrum Noir alcholol markers (marker colors are listed below).   When the basket was finished being colored, I cut it using the matching dies.  I then took my craft knife and carefully cut a slit above the basket rim and the inside of the basket so that I could slip the eggs under the rim.

The larger eggs were first cut using the large solid die from the Easter Eggs Set with white cardstock.  I then used the decorative cutout dies from the set with glitter paper in three different colors.  I used my Xyron X to adhere the glittered pieces onto the solid white eggs.  Using the small solid egg die from the set I cut two small eggs with a fourth color of glitter paper.  Using the Impression Obsession Grass Border die, I cut some of the spring green colored paper.  I cut up the die cut piece and added sprigs of the grass here and there in the basket.  All the eggs and the grass pieces were tucked inside the slit I made in the basket and glued in place.  I placed a small piece of craft foam underneath the center of the basket portion to give the center of the basket a rounded, raised look.  I then glued the outside edges of the basket to the card.  I tacked the handle at the very top.  This added some dimension to the basket and eggs.

Using the small flower die from the Easter Eggs set, I cut two flowers from the yellow cardstock and one from white.  I adhered them to the bottom right corner of the basket and added some light green rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.  I then added some pink flower-shaped rhinestones to each corner of the green die cut.

Finally, using the Creative Expressions Classic 3D Bow (the smallest size) I cut the bow and tails from the yellow cardstock.  I assembled the bow and glued it to the top of the basket's handle.

For the inside of the card I created a 4.75 x 6.75 inch mat using the spring green and then attached a 4.5 x 6.5 inch mat of the yellow.  I stamped the sentiments from the Our Daily Bread Basket of Blessings stamp set and then added two glittered eggs to the bottom left corner on the inside.

This was the first time using not only the Our Daily Bread products, but also the Creative Expressions, and Impression Obsession dies.  I was very please with how all of these products worked.  I can see me using them a lot in the future.  (Please Note:  I am not affiliated in any way with any of the companies and/or products mentioned.)

I hope you enjoyed this project, and as always, I would love to hear any comments or suggestions you may have.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great and creative day!

Jeanne
